Found out that names for NPCs in Tinkerlands are randomised. Idk if I'm just lucky but in my other save I have Bikini the Bard and in the new one I have Donut the Bard.

I feel like the devs of Tinkerlands reached into my brain and made a game with almost everything I love.
The UI is easy to read and use, the art is nice and clean, there's crafting and upgrading, I can build houses for npcs, there's exploration, cute monsters, I can have pets, there's layered armor so I can still look cute while having actually good armor underneath, there's bunch of deco so I can decorate the homes.
The only downside is the fishing minigame, but I am very biased because I strongly dislike 90% of them. Only one I've actually liked was in Far Cry 5.
Games with long demos
I wanted to compile a list of games on steam with fairly long demos. At the moment it's bit short, but I hope to keep adding to it!
Dragon Quest Builders 2
I'd describe Dragon Quest Builders 2 as Minecraft storymode. Your character goes from island to island with their companion, Malroth to help rebuild each place. The main quest is to rebuild your own island with the help of the people who end up joining from other islands. The story ends up getting weird at points, but it's one of my favorite games ever! You do not need to play the sequel or know anything about Dragon Quest lore. This was my first Dragon Quest game and personally not knowing anything added to the experience. The demo itself allows you to play through the first island your character and Malroth travel to almost completely. I think I spend good 8 hours on it.
Tinkerlands
This is an early access game so keep that in mind! The game itself is terraria inspired, but with a loose story. Your character, along with couple of crewmates are stranded on an island where you need to build shelter, and craft armor and weapons. It is tagged as "Open World Survival Craft," but at least in the adventure mode you don't need to sleep or eat. You get to build a small town, and invite npcs to live with you who can sell you useful items. I think in the demo it's a lot more limited who you can invite compared to the full game, but you still get a decent amount of characters into your town. Building, and decorating the houses is mostly up to you. All of the npcs have few things they want in their home before they agree to move in. At the time of writing this I've played the demo bit over 9 hours and have not defeated all of the 4 bosses in it, or explored the whole map. This could be due to me being very slow, but the demo does essentially have two maps: one for the top world and one for the underground.
