Hollywood and the 105
The 105 has Hollywood connections. The family home of Dennis Wilson and his brothers Brian and Carl, founding members of the highly successful Capitol Records Beach Boys surf band, was demolished in the mid-1980s to make way for the freeway. ACalifornia Historic Landmark marks the site of the former home. Another home, where Richard and Karen Carpenter lived, after they moved to Downey, was also razed for the 105.
