“Amethyst, are you feeling alright?” Pearl piped up as she sat herself down on the edge of the counter-top, frowning as she turned her attention to the giantess. Amethyst was grumbling as she placed a hand to her jaw, evident annoyance crossing her expression, though she raised an eyebrow in surprise as she heard Pearl speak, glancing at the mouse-sized gem. It was always a little strange to hear Pearl, of all people, sounding concerned for her, but she appreciated it nonetheless.
“No, do I look alright?” She huffed softly, giving a small roll of her eyes then wincing afterward, rubbing her jaw. Straightening up where she sat, Pearl looked on for a moment before she spoke in a rather stern, almost motherly tone, crossing her arms over her chest as she frowned at Amethyst. “Now, Amethyst, don’t be silly; tell me what’s wrong.” Pearl urged gently, looking on as the purple gem sighed heavily but otherwise obeyed. “Just a toothache, P. I think..I just know the back of my jaw hurts a little.” Amethyst replied, pouting slightly but otherwise approaching the counter as Pearl beckoned her over, glancing up at the gem.
“Perhaps you just have something stuck between your teeth, Amethyst. You’re the only one who eats here, so I wouldn’t be surprised.” Pearl huffed in reply, standing up hardly a moment later and placing a hand to her hip. Though, she noticeably hesitated before she spoke, a somewhat worried glimmer in her eyes. “..If you’d like, I’ll see if I can find anything in there, just in case that’s the problem. But don’t you get any ideas, alright?” The tiny gem added quickly, shifting a bit uncomfortable; if the concept of eating bothered her to begin with, she could hardly imagine what it’d be like to be in someone’s mouth..but if it could at least bring some comfort to Amethyst, then so be it.
Amethyst was definitely taken aback by Pearl’s hesitant offer; while she couldn’t help but feel a little worried about making the little gem too uncomfortable, if she was offering, then what was the point of denying it? “Only if you’re cool with it, Pearl..” The giantess replied, pausing for a moment before she held out her hand for Pearl to climb on if she wanted; the gem just that, carefully stepping into the palm of Amethyst’s hand and balancing herself as she was brought up to the purple gem’s lips. “I’m the one who offered. Just..please don’t swallow, okay? I’ll be in and out as quickly as possible. I’ll let you know when to spit me out.”
“Whatever you say, P.” Amethyst replied, slowly parting her lips and opening her maw wide enough for Pearl, who visibly hesitated then carefully climbed inside, mindful of the gem’s teeth and doing her best to avoid slipping as she crawled onto her dark purple tongue. Shifting a bit nervously, Pearl slowly made her way to the very back of the gem’s maw; that was when she stood up, needing to balance herself for a moment and test her footing before she dared to step anywhere, lest she slip down Amethyst’s throat. Turning her attention to the giantess’s pearly white teeth, she pulled her spear from her gem and went about inspecting Amethyst’s teeth, searching for anything that could possibly have gotten stuck to cause a painful toothache. “Amethyst, I don’t really think there’s anything back here.”
Now and then she’d poke around with her spear to see if she could remove anything that could’ve gotten stuck, mindful for the most part; though the one time she wasn’t too careful and the blade lightly poked at her gum by accident, Amethyst reacted quite harshly by the time Pearl had made her spear vanish. Her jaws snapped shut as she jerked a little from the brief moment of pain - involuntarily gulping in the process, which sent Pearl; who had slipped thanks to the jolt of movement; down her throat in the single, quick swallow.
“Amethyst!” Pearl managed to squeak out in alarm as she was dragged down the gem’s throat, kicking and squirming rather violently; she wasn’t exactly afraid - mostly just disgusted and, for lack of better words, pissed off. She had told Amethyst not to swallow; but then again, she figured she shouldn’t have poked around with her spear. As she was deposited into the gem’s dark purple stomach, Pearl coughed and spluttered in disgust as she glanced down at herself, grumbling softly as she banged against the stomach walls. “Amethyst! You didn’t have to swallow!” She scoffed, though found herself sighing in annoyance and leaning against the slick wall, which had a faint, light purple glow.
“Well, you shouldn’t have been poking me with your spear!” Amethyst replied, though an embarrassed shade of blush tinted her cheeks dark purple; of course she hadn’t meant to swallow Pearl, but there wasn’t much of a point in spitting her out now, anyways. “I didn’t mean to poke you!”
“Jeez, sorry; chill out, I didn’t mean to swallow you either.” She rolled her eyes, though licked her lips nonetheless; her jaw still hurt, but hey, at least now she wouldn’t have to worry about getting a snack later - not when she already had a temporary one. “Might as well get comfy, P; there’s no point in letting you out now.” Grumbling softly under her breath, Pearl leaned against the stomach wall, wiping a glob of violet saliva from her shoulder; there was no point in arguing at this point, so she might as well listen to Amethyst for once.
After all, she was going to be stuck in here for quite a while.
