Tiny Klavier Adventures, Episode #01

I have been having far too much fun lately playing Animal Crossing with a tiny version of Klavier Gavin.

His house is filled with purple clothing, musical instruments, and stim toys (because I strongly headcanon Klavier as ADHD).

I solved the problem of none of the default hairstyles being quite right for Young Klavier with an item called a Visual Punk Wig.

Here he is outside his house, which now has even more purple flowers outside than it did then, courtesy of @shinypyxis​ and Katie who I don’t think is on Tumblr. Notice also the Gavinners’ t-shirt on his clothesline, courtesy of @wardencommanderrodimiss​.

Tiny Klavier Adventures, Episode #08 - Fireworks!

Today was the last fireworks night of August, so I thought I would try some custom fireworks. See, I spent the first two weeks of August being confused by Isabelle’s interface being box --> box --> box etc... it made me think that I had to draw 10 frames of a firework exploding, which is WAY more pixel art than I am capable of. My friend @shinypyxis​ explained that all I actually needed to do was supply up to 10 custom images and the game would do the rest. Phew.

So here is Tiny Klavier watching fireworks. The Pride flags are by me and the Gavinners’ symbol is by @wardencommanderrodimiss​, and can be downloaded from the creator code MA-4801-8738-6886.

This tiny Apollo is by Alley (I think) and I’ll get the creator code when my Able Sisters is open.

Tiny Klavier Adventures, Episode #11 - Klavier’s Doppelgänger

Rumours of Klavier’s fame have been spreading around the island.

Even if some villagers are a little confused about what he’s famous for.

Between that, and receiving fanmail in bottles (see Episode #09), Klavier somehow wasn’t at all surprised when his first fan figured out where he lived.

Though he was a little insulted that the guy decided to dress exactly like him.

Klavier decided he’d better boost the security in his house, adding surveillance cameras and monitors. It wouldn’t do for fans to burst into his house while he’s  taking a long bath, or asleep.

Tiny Klavier Adventures, Episode #12 - Coelacanths!

Lately, it has been raining a lot in my town. I have been taking the opportunity to attempt to catch rare fish. However, until a few days ago, I did NOT know that coelacanths are all day and all year in New Horizons. My friend Tim told me, and I felt very stupid.

Today C.J. (not @jada-does-art​) showed up, so all of my characters have been making mega bells. Does anyone ever wonder how C.J. can afford to pay you 1.5 x what the Nooklings do?

It was raining pretty heavily so Klavier went for a walk on the beach just in case. He caught several sea bass, and said, “Whoop” in his best Miles Edgeworth impression.

Then he pulled up another fish which he thought would be a sea bass... except it wasn’t. That’s another thing which has changed in New Horizons - the coelacanth shadow isn’t all that large. It used to be MASSIVE, I’m sure.

Then, just to prove that Klavier has used up all the RNG for all three of my characters in a day, the next fish was a coelacanth too! Well.

Klavier took the coelacanths to the museum and showed them off to Blathers, who made an irritating joke about having to decide whether to exhibit them with the fish or the fossils. (Really?)

Tiny Klavier Adventures, Episode #10 - Klavier’s Animal Band

(Sorry for the delay - real life has not been kind.)

Klavier was very excited when Cyd the elephant moved in, complete with a punk/metal theme and a drum kit. (See Episode #06).

But as the pair of them became friends, Klavier discovered that Cyd would NOT be the drummer he was looking for.

Klavier was quite disappointed.

Meanwhile Mira the rabbit has been hinting that she wanted to join Klavier’s band.

BUUUT... It doesn’t seem like she’s going to be the vocalist that Klavier needs either.

So neither Bubbles, nor Cyd, nor Mira will be able to help with Klavier’s musical endeavours. He’s been contenting himself with working on his recording studio.

Tiny Klavier Adventures, Episode #07: Klavier and Bubbles.

Bubbles dreams of being a pop star.

She also believes that if Klavier can be both a Rockstar and Prosecutor, she can be a Pop Star AND Fashion Designer AND DIY Guru.

Klavier is only too aware of how much effort a mere two careers at once is, and he knows that Bubbles is rather lazy. He isn’t mean enough to discourage her dreams though.

They’re pretty good friends, and she’s very enthusiastic about his songwriting.

Still, Bubbles is rather naive, and has the oddest ideas of how much influence visitors to the island have.

And after Klavier told her that he wanted Cyd to become the drummer in his new band, she tried out for vocalist. This proved to be a mistake.

Tiny Klavier Adventures, Episode #02

Tiny Klavier adventures continue.

He met an actual rock star.

And customised his Nook Phone with the Gavinners’ logo (courtesy of @wardencommanderrodimiss​).

He freaked out about an electric guitar costing 76,000 bells. (Which is a lot near the start of the game.)

Here are three pictures of his one-room house, which is shortly being converted into a two-room house. Hoodie is by wardencommanderrodimiss as before, Klavier’s suit is by alleykatastic on Reddit (MA-2098-0548-4670).

He has approximately 4 x as many shoes/boots than I do, in real life OR in game. (Hey! I now see what Tumblr artists complain about when they say Tumblr reduces the image quality! Oof, this looks bad.)

Most of the stuff on this wall is red because of Animal Crossing feng shui, even though that isn’t even THAT important in New Horizons. I’ve just played enough Animal Crossing over the years that it seems wrong not to do it.

“Access Your Wardrobe and Change Your Look” is Klavier’s favourite Nook Points+ daily quest-thing. He could do it five times a day, if offered. (It helps that you can change e.g. your socks and it still counts, lol).
