hi the nerd jason anon is back. you know how kids always lie about their homework and say they forgot to bring it?? yeah, with the other kids the teacher is just extremely side eyeing them but with jason the teachers are already prepared with tissues like he's a joy to teach but He Needs To Relax™

this has absolutely happened before. only once because jason is that extra he checks his bag like three times in the morning to make sure he has everything but one time bruce was tired and accidentally grabbed a folder that had jason’s report in it and not his own stuff.

jason was distraught. 

the teacher was like ‘it’s not a big deal, jason, it hardly matters. these things happen.’ 

bruce received a phone call at the office. jason demanded he bring the report to school before the end of the day or jason would never speak to him again.

speaking of nerd jason: the only reason he'd ever submit an assignment late was because he got too into researching for the paper that he didn't have time to finish writing it in between crime fighting and helping alfred out around the house

i always did dismiss that panel and only bring it up to make fun of it i mean i can see damian knowing how to drive (but also questioning how his tiny legs could ever reach the pedals to even learn?？) but ??? doctorate at 7???？ i'm out lmao the only way i can see jason in school in the immediate future is if a case needed him to go undercover as a college student but other wise... when will i get nerd jason back /:

if talia really wanted damian to invest that much time at that age (and at that age it would be fuckton of time and honestly it wouldn’t be doctorate level anyway) it certainly wouldn’t be for geology lmao

jason is having too much fun invading countries with his pals right now. he has a lot of teenage rebellion to catch up on. (i imagine bruce’s face when he finds out jason and two other people invaded a country and laugh for dayyyyyys).

i was gonna make a joke about how only damian can """out nerd""" jason because he already has a doctorate in geology at seven years old but all i can think about jason not having the chance to finish school and now i'm emo

that is either damian being a braggart or the writer being a fool. 

i found that panel cringey as hell tbh. some people just don’t know how children work–even incredibly intelligent children. 

jason might one day be in a place to go back to school. he is kind of like bruce in that he needs a cause though, especially with what happened to him, so it’s a fair way away unless he finds a cause that includes going back to school.
