The Experiments of ridhojeftha
"Time flies when you're... doing honours."
Coming to terms with the fact that it's officially the last week of campus is somewhat sad. Even though I'm quite keen to move on from University, I will surely miss this place. I've spent so much 'life', had countless adventures and met so many amazing people here. Looking back, I actually enjoyed every minute of it. Well, except for those all-nighters. Well, the all-nighters that was actually spent doing work.
This year, I've not made many YouTube videos like I promised I would at the end of last year. This is mainly because of the academic workload that overpowered everything this year. Aaaaand here we are again. However, this time I have a plan!
I've spent a lot of the past year planning. Now it's time to implement and start 'doing'. This is step one:
Initially, my second channel, thisisridho, hosted my vlogs, silly videos and experiments that I wanted to share with you all. In an attempt to do away with fragmentation, I removed this channel. I'll be systematically uploading my old videos onto my main channel, youtube.com/ridhojeftha.
I call these videos my experiments as they all came before my personal 'rebrand' of earlier this year. Some of these videos are already on my main channel and will receive an 'experiments' redux in the near future.
Even though I'm a bit embarrassed at some of my earlier stuff, I like to keep them there as a kind of measure for myself. You know, to see if I've grown. Also, it's a great way to get me laughing at myself. "Oh young Ridhô, you so stoopid."
A series of videos that I made during my years as a student. Some of them you've seen, some have never left the magnetic disks of my hard drive. Either way, I do hope that you enjoy them.
The first one, titled Crystal, was a video I made in November 2012 after I discovered the band The XX. I became obsessed with Ollie (Oliver Sim)'s voice in the song Crystallised. I then heard a Gorillaz cover and the rest is history. I'm not a singer (which I'm sure you'll hear) but I still enjoyed making this.
This was also the first time I used filters in Adobe After Effects. As you will see, there is a filter over the video that makes the shadows blue-ish.
Peace, Love and #WearAwesomeSocks
