Hello all,
In the wake of the devastating Camp Fire, many of us have been eager to help those affected. Countless people have donated, volunteered and opened up homes to evacuees and survivors.
The amount of activism we have seen from the community--and even the entire country--is truly inspiring, but now that the smoke has cleared many of us are wondering...what’s next?
Of course there is no single easy answer to this question, but there are rays of hope emerging everywhere as the smoke clears.
I am part of a Chico State journalism class who, like so many others, wants to help in any way they can.
Enter tiny house manufacturers KJE Tiny Homes. KJE are already making strides in creating subsidized permanent housing for Camp Fire survivors in Chico.
We couldn’t dream up a more tangible way to help displaced families than to help them get back into stable housing as quickly as possible, so we are rallying to help KJE fundraise their subsidies.
In January, 2019, KJE will begin construction Chico’s first Camp Fire tiny home village. You can be a major contributor to the creation of this village by donating to and sharing our fundraising campaign and by following the hashtag #tinyhomebighope campaign on Instagram.
We hope you’ll considering donating and joining us in giving a tiny home--and a whole lot of hope--to the victims of this devastating fire.
Thank you and happy holidays,

PS thank you all so much for reblogging and sharing. You may not know but this fire was something that directly affected me and my school and any support is greatly appreciated!
