30 Day Character Meme - Day 10

Day 10 - Relationships and history What is their family history like? My Mother doesn't talk about her past too much, but I know that my grandfather is the leader of Grimleal. The Grimleal worships Grima. I don't talk about my grandfather and I'd prefer not to.

   My father's side of the family is the exact opposite. Chrom and my Aunts are all of Exalted blood. They are heroic and gracious. They took my mother in and made her part of their family. I love them all dearly.

How does it affect them? I'm often conflicted by how different my family history is. I want to live up to my father's legacy, but I always wonder if my grandfather's ambitions reflect through me somehow. And it scares me.

How do they feel about their family? My mother inspires me to be more intelligent, my father inspires me to act with justice, and my older sister inspires me to be brave. Owain kind of inspires me to have fun... but I know he wants me to take him seriously.

How does their family feel about them? I feel loved all the time. Even though I have trouble remembering my father and sister, they include me in a lot of what they do. I hope my mother is proud of me, but I am always scared to ask...

Day 9: How are they with technology? I think I am pretty good with technology! I have a great desire for learning and am eager to get my hands on the newest stuff to help my mind grow further.

Are they specially qualified in any particular field? Would they be considered at the top of the field? Tactics! They are my specialty, but no... I am not the top of my field. That honor would definitely belong to my mother!

Have they ever been publicly acknowledged for anything? No... not really. It would be nice, though.

Is there anything they’ve deliberately sought to improve at? Everything! I must improve at all things. I can't settle for just good, I want to be great! But... I know I should work on my body more than my mind. I'm not very strong. I need to be better rounded!

Do they speak more than one language? No, not really! Although, maybe I should if I want to be a tactician. Hey, thanks for the idea!

30 Day Character Meme - Day 8

Day 8:

What are some of your character’s more notable merits and flaws (including physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, etc.)? Merits? I don't think I have any real merits yet. Although, I am pretty good with creating tactics. If I live up to my mother's abilities, I will consider my goal reached.

   My flaws are... vast, I think. I try to smile every day, but my fears loom over me when no one is around. The lack of memories when it comes to my father and sister bother me a great deal. However, I still remember my mother. I remember losing her and it haunts me. I give in quickly to despair and often lose my way without friends or family to guide me.

How did they develop? My flaws..? Well, when I lost my family, I guess.

How has this helped or hindered them in the past? Before I was reunited with the others, I felt lost and alone. I fought so hard to get my mother back, but... I was afraid of everyone. When strangers found me, I would strike them away -- even if they were trying to help me. Being found by my mother and the Shepherds probably saved my life.

30 Day Character Meme - Day 7

Day 7: Where does your character live? On paper, I live at the castle with my father and mother. Often times, though, I am wherever the Shepherds are. The Barracks are home and I love them just as much as the castle back in Ylisse.

Why did they choose it, and how did they acquire it? I didn't choose the castle and I don't think I'll ever 'acquire' it. I am allowed to live there because of my family lineage. However, I would like to think I earned my place in the Barracks. I fight hard and will always help protect the other Shepherds.

How do they handle intruders (graciously? violently?)? At the castle, guards usually handle trouble before I ever see them. At the Barracks, I am quick to blow away any unwanted intruders. Its not just my friends I have to keep safe, but my family, too! Having Chrom for our leader draws a surprising amount of troublesome figures.

Describe the space. The castle is large, beautiful and opulent with a well maintained garden. My own room has dark wood furniture and my bed has dark blue sheets. Don't worry, I don't blend in with them. Have you seen my pajamas? I also have a wall of books. Its literally the entire wall. I'm pretty proud of my collection! My desk has some fancy gold inlay on it, too. I guess its obvious what I spend most of my time doing there.

My bedroll in the barracks is standard issue. Hunter green with a zipper. I don't really need anything else.

30 Day Character Development Meme - Day 6

Day 6: Why do they have their resources? (Knowledge being my resource) Because, Mom. 'Nuff said. And if I ever get to a point where I feel a need to spend money, I'm sure I can credit Dad, hehe~!

How long have they had them, and how have they served the character over time? (Ex. Contacts, money, political power, fame, etc.) Well, as soon as I could read, I had my mother's books. And even for the time that we were apart, I still had some of her books. I always remembered her teachings and did everything I could to grow on them. This has served to keep me alive in the darkness that surrounded me. Helped me survive until I was reunited with not only my mother, but my father and sisters, too.

Day 5 - Resources and abilities Where did they learn their abilities? At first, I learned them from my mother. Then... she didn't come home. I used all of her books and I studied them with all of my heart. Sometimes, I would even hear her reading them to me. Now she is with me again and she can still read to me. Whenever we have time together, I ask her to read a new book with me. Sometimes, she even teaches me new skills she didn't learn in a book! When she takes me with her to battle, I get to see a master in action and I learn more than ever! If they have an income, where does it come from? I get allowance from Mom and Dad... Do they have a job? Do they like it? How do they feel about their co-workers? Can the Justice Cabal be my job? I love hanging out with cousin Owain and Cynthia! Being the tactician of great heroes is my Mother's job, after all!

Day 4 - Favorites and habits What are some of your character’s hobbies? What do they do with their time? I like reading my mother's tomes and strategy books. These things take a lot of time! You know, I also like drawing... I have a drawing book that I hide in one of my leather tomes. But I'm too shy to show them! Favorite color? Dark Purple. It reminds me of my mother's clothes. Favorite music artists? Movies or TV shows? Books or authors? Actors? I have a ton of favorite books! Like, this one book my mother gave to me. She said it meant a lot to her. I kind of like listening to Brady play violin... but I usually close my eyes for that. He can kind of be scary. Political stance? Are they active in politics or do they not care? Uhm... go Dad! That's what Mom wants, right? What are some of their pet peeves? I feel anxious when people touch my books. I also don't like it when people peer over my shoulder-- whether I'm reading, writing, or even something as simple as eating. What sort of gifts do they like? If its my mother, I like when she gives me books. I appreciate when my friends give me writing supplies or bookmarks. You know... book-related gifts... wow, this is a theme. What is their favorite time of day? Sunset. Favorite weather? Cool and slightly windy or warm and rainy. Season? Spring! Where do they like to spend their time? I like hanging out by the docks. Watching the boats on the water and feeling the wind in my hair. Its beautiful during sunset! Favorite food? My favorite food is sweet and sour chicken. Favorite drink? I like lemonade! Hot drinks, soft drinks, or alcohol? Tea is okay. I can't do alcohol-- it doesn't agree with me. Favorite animal? I saw a picture of a red panda in a book once. They're adorable! Do they have any pets? Do they want any? I have a white kitten named Mouse. What relaxes them? Reading and playing with Mouse. Sometimes I'll just sit outside and listen to life pass by. Its nice to finally be able to do that..! Do they have any bad habits? I sometimes get overzealous with my studies and let them consume all my time. Every once in a while, I'll look up to someone and try to emulate them, only to learn I maybe should pick a better role model.

Day 3: Choose a different time period and describe what your character would have been like in that time period.

   I can totally imagine myself in a Victorian era! I'd have a fluffy, white cravat and a nifty brooch and.. hmm, I could technically wear those now, if I wanted to. I could ask Virion for one! I'd have a pair of dark blue stockings and some dark shoes... and a cute hat with a big bow! Wait... why does this sound like someone I've seen art of before? Anyways, Victorian era clothes look super great!
