Video for the projection component of my installation at Tümbiverse: Event Horizon 3/10/18 at The Deep End

second piece for the series #Techno_Slutrepreneur, which explores how the body, self and personas are employed in social media and virtual avatars to present an image to the world that is how we navigate our desires, fears, dreams, fantasies and ego to fend for ourselves in a corporate controlled horizontally enabled ever more immersive technological society.

This module, entitled “Host Organism Experience” (HOE), is a semi-legal novelty product of the future.

“After the Great Integration Act of 2047, the virtual entirety of the human race has become a partial or complete cyborg. Incredible advancements in civilization have occurred as a result. But many of the things that define our 21st century experience are rarities, oddities, and in some cases outlawed. The HOE pod serves as a portal to embody a completely 100% organic being. “Host Organism Experience” (HOE), is a semi-legal novelty product of the future.

Part of an art installation where I imagined a novelty oddity service of the future which allows cyborg and digital entities to inhabit a body of their choosing.  This technology is outlawed in many sectors for breaking laws against Efficiency and Order established by the Great Integration Act of 2047.

This video played on a small screen with headphones attached next to the sculptural projection aspect.  I am really happy with how it came out.  Even the typo text in the video.  While at the event, the scrambled nature really made it hard to hear and for me that only added to the effect of the piece. I’m including the copy here:
