    the stack of paperwork has just diminished enough to     half that Snow sighs with relief. She takes a sip of her     coffee and finds that it's too cold to her liking and sets     it down, contemplating whether to get more or continue     and finish the rest of her work.

           A well earned break was appropriate, but when she            heard the business door open and she blinks up at            her visitor, recognizing the crutch.
