Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neill Liberal Speaker of the House Thomas "Tip" O'Neill frequently butted heads with President Ronald Reagan. Asked if he knew about the latest video game craze, Pac-Man, Reagan replied: “Someone told me it was a round thing that gobbled up money. I thought it was Tip O'Neill.” O'Neill called the Reagan administration "one big Christmas party for the rich.” While they fought legendary battles, both men claimed the politicking ended at the close of the business day, and were able to remain friendly outside of the office.
