Day 120.
Ti Point. - ātaahua!!!
The light was magnificent this evening. Even when you think you don’t want to get in and end up leaving it till late in the day, you still get greeted by this kind of beauty.
I am constantly blown away by how amazing I feel after getting in the water. And my trusty companion is always close by.
What a magnificent end to my day. Tomorrow is a third of the way through, so I plan on swimming a little further in the morning :)
Day 113.
Ti Point w / The Pod
A mild autumn day with plenty of sediment in the water. Still, a lovely swim up to the beach and back. Although, it’s worrying to see the amount of baby paroroe with fungal infections. Rising sea temperatures could well be the catalyst for this.

Ti Point (to the left) w / The Pod.
1km mosey up the channel, saw the biggest stingray OF MY LIFE!!! She was about 2m in wingspan and a tail as thick as my arm. I abruptly came face to face with her after swimming over a rock. Not gonna lie, I back paddled pronto when she arched up; her tail was more than close enough to give me a decent piercing! Beautiful old lady probably about to pup. She was resplendently rotund.

A quiet day down by the wharf photographing the fish and saying hi to a straggle of pod peeps on their way in.

Ti Point Wharf. Bumped into Nat and Arlo on my way back in so we took some jumping photos. Love that little man.

My eyes were hungry for creatures today. First time I’ve seen a pink urchin for years... and I never grow tired of seeing the rusty rocks.
