Achieving Reading Goals
Set a reasonable goal
Don't overestimate your abilities! Start small and build up as you continue. Whether your goal is to read one book a month or one book in 6 months, adjust the goal to suit your lifestyle!
Make a list
Making a list of everything and anything related to your reading goals can help you feel accomplished as you check things off! They don't have to be big things like completing a book, it could be read a chapter a week! Or maybe a list of books you've found and want to read at some point to keep yourself on track.
Invite friends
Lots of things are better when you include more people! Get together (whether in person or online) with some friends or others in the community to do a joint reading session, book club, or any other collaborative reading activities!
Block out time each day
Something as simple as setting aside 20 minutes wherever you have in your day to read is always good practice to continue learning to love reading! It's hard, especially as an adult, to find the time to incorporate reading, so any chance you feel there's a period in your daily schedule to read, try it out and see if it works for you!
