Thanking people and stuff because yes good
Been writing all day. Interesting stuff. Also got my letter from Andrew. Now to send him another one.
Sometimes I honestly feel like I can read conference talks all day. They never--or, at least, they rarely--bore me. I am in the mood where my thoughts are just flowing. Everything is interesting and I love to think about things. Like boredom. Bore means to drill into, or to separate and divide. So to be bored is to divide oneself from something. Probably learning. Or the Spirit. Are we not told to "cease to be idle"? It would make sense that if we were idle would be separated from the Spirit, to me.
However, that's just idle thoughts. Make of it what you wish, because I have a lot more to say aside from that.
I'm grateful that I've helped people just by trying to help myself. Recently I've had no less than 5 people tell me, through facebook or texting or tumblr, that somehow I've helped them in their personal life just by reading about my struggles and my overcoming an addiction. One of those friends I've been in and out of contact for nearly four years. Another I barely know at all. I'm not even sure if I follow them on here.
I'm grateful for my friends. For those that have stuck with me and for those that were honest with me even if it hurt. I'm thankful for those that believed and continue to believe that the Lord will help me and that I will be able to be clean again and become worthy to enter into the Temple.
I'm thankful for missionaries and missionary service. One of the talks that I just read was all about being a friend to the new members of a ward. And that's something that I really need to work on. I'm very passive and very comfortable with how I am, and that can make reaching out to others very hard in person. Online? Not at all. In person? I feel like hiding in the bathroom or pretending to text someone. I'm grateful for friendships, no matter how long they've been going on.
I'm grateful for Buggie for helping me learn and for talking to me. I'm thankful for Katie for reminding me of my Priesthood duty. I'm thankful for Lane, because she's shown me that you don't have to belong to a church to respect it. I'm grateful to Heather, because she's proof that you can survive some pretty interesting situations and still come out relatively alive. I'm grateful to Cassie, for showing me that a testimony doesn't mean that you have no doubts. I'm grateful to Shay and Cassi for reminding me that you can be best friends and bicker over everything and irritate the heck out of each other one minute, and then have a hilarious time with each other the next. I'm grateful to Peter, for reminding me of Christ's role in my life. I'm grateful for Laura and Emily, for reminding me of the importance of music.
There are so many more people to thank for helping me. Joe, for rebuking me when I was claiming to live the gospel and then not doing it at all. Jordan, for reminding me that there's a difference between life on paper and life when you're confronted with it. Ashley (elevatortonowhere), for reminding me that the only way to get better at something is to keep doing it, whether that's drawing or writing or just life in general. Cecelia, for reminding me that music is powerful, and that it's okay to be yourself. I'm thankful for Robin, for reminding me that love is powerful, and that people are worth it. And I'm grateful for Brett, for reminding me to be committed to a cause is a good thing. Cameron, Nathan, Emilie, and Cade also deserve thanks, for putting up with my weirdness in real life, and for being generally awesome.
I could keep going but I think there are already a lot of monstrous paragraphs. If I didn't mention you by name, I'm thankful for you anyway. I just hope I can fit all these tags.
Gratitude is powerful.
If I ever suddenly stop texting you, it's either because I had to go to class and I figured I would answer the text after class but then forgot to, or I didn't know how to respond to that text so I thought I would wait until I knew what I wanted to respond with, and then forgot to text you back.
Basically, it's just me forgetting to text.
It's also possible that my phone died.

Someone who inspires me: My best friend, Alex. She is beautiful and smart and she's just the best. And she just makes me want to keep going on even if I feel like calling quits. She's just the best.
