Don’t feel pressure. Everyone works at a different pace and NaNo is supposed to be fun. Sometimes when Nov 1st falls on an awkward day it is hard to get started, but you have plenty of time so don’t stress too much.

How did I meet my best friend? First impressions? We met on our first day of college (between high school and university for us in the UK; so we were both 16). We were both the first ones in the class and just started talking. She seemed very friendly and cool. 16 years later and we’re still very close friends.

Which fictional character do I identify with? Thorin. He’s moody, stubborn and doesn’t trust people...very much like moi! I just have the general idea that everyone fucks you over in the end. But I also identify a lot with Bilbo. I love travelling and going on adventures, however, I love my home.

Frost - what is your favourite local folklore?

We don’t really have any local folklore as such. It’s more that certain buildings are haunted or things like that. The old, disused pub across the road from me is supposed to be haunted. I used to go in there and I reckon it is. But, again, as for actual folklore, don’t really have any.
