I’m on episode 5 and I’m liking it so much! I swear, Gong Hyo-jin is magic. Whatever she is in is gold. I love her so much. Also, most of the time I think she’s just “girl next door” kind of pretty, but in this show she looks SO good! Her styling is great.
What shocked me is that I looked up the director and... it’s the same director as Moon Lovers?! I can see the similarities in directing style now (allll the close-ups, ha) but while Moon Lovers was a tonal mess with some awful music direction and just generally questionable editing/directing choices, I think it works in It’s Okay, That’s Love. There are still some song placements that strike me as a bit odd but it works with the overall slightly eccentric tone of the show. Also, the music is great. I love indie/folk rock, though, so that is why I like it so much.
