Panic rose in your chest. Your body was in shock, trembling like a leaf. You couldn't move. You were caught. What was he going to do to you?
Your eyes were glued to the floor in front of you. Your arms were tied behind your back while you sat on your knees on the cold hard floor. Your Titan Skull and fur cloak were discarded in the corner of the room along with the rest of your clothes as you were practically stripped down to your underwear. You felt exposed, vulnerable. Your palisman was nowhere to be found.
A pair of boots stepped into your field of vision, causing you to flinch hard. You hadn't heard him approach you. A gloved hand hooked under your jaw and forced your head up but before you could react, a warm cloth met your face, wiping off the purple and gold paint that matched the Grand Huntsman. You tried to pull away but the hand around your jaw tightened.
"Really now, Y/N, you can't go around with this on your face," The witch you knew as Emperor Belos cooed with a chuckle. The familiarity in his voice when he spoke pissed you off. Sure, the two of you knew each other for a while but he didn't know you. You didn't know him past the "most powerful witch in the Boiling Isles" and the witch that was absolutely obsessed with catching you. "People will question your upbringing."
When he pulled the cloth away, you made a move to bite at his hand before glaring up at him.
"Ah, ah. No biting. You're human, not an animal."
"Let me go! You have no right to do this to me-!"
"Easy. You act as if I'm going to harm you. Calm down, dearest. You're perfectly safe."
"When Tarak finds out, he's going to-!"
"Tarak isn't going to find out. No one knows you are here, Y/N," Belos gave you an unsettling stare. "I couldn't risk a war. It would waste resources and put a damper on my plans. I made sure no one from that clan knew of your rescue."
You furrowed your brow.
"... Rescue?"
"Of course. I have been telling you for years that you were with the wrong people, Y/N. Have you not been listening?" he sighed. You were suddenly scooped up into his arms and he headed for the door. "Those barbarians do not know how to take care of a human properly! Look at you! You're filthy, your hair is well overgrown and unkempt, and you tried to bite me. Hardly the proper guardians."
"Like you would know any better!" you growled.
"Oh, trust me, better than you realize. Why else would I have chased you all of these years?"
Without warning, you were dumped into a tub of hot water. Resurfacing, you inhaled deeply and glared up at the witch who proceeded to remove his gloves and roll up his sleeves. A glint of silver made you realize he had something sharp and when he kneeled down, you shut your eyes tightly. When you reopened them, the binds on your wrists were cut and Belos set the dagger aside. He then reached in and removed what was left of your clothing without any reaction.
"There now. We can just focus on getting you clean-" he reached over to pick up a washcloth.
An awkward bath later, you sat on a soft surface in clean night clothes under a pile of blankets you had snatched up the moment you were set on the bed. You glared out at him from under the hood you created, causing him to chuckle as he fixed his sleeves.
"It wasn't that bad. Don't you feel refreshed?"
"I feel violated."
"... Ah. Well, I didn't expect you to do it yourself without trying to escape. You really needed a bath."
You let out a growl, red-faced, as you hid under the blankets. He was very straightforward, at least. He didn't stare at you as he cleaned you or touch you in a way that made you think it was more than just a bath. It was like someone bathing a pet.
"Oh, now, don't get too comfortable yet. We're not done."
Your head perked up some to see him pick up a hair brush.
"I think I'm good for the night..."
"Hardly. Come here."
After staring for a moment, you settled into your blankets.
"... No."
Belos exhaled before flicking his hand and you felt yourself being pulled like a ragdoll from the bed toward him, onto a stool in front of him. It was true that you had let your hair grow out in recent months but it was more of you not paying attention to it than wanting to so you could only imagine the knots he was about to find in there.
This was going to be hell.
