um um Dragon Age!
I wasn’t sure whether this applied to Origins, Awakening, or 2, so….I did all three
DA: Origins
The first character I first fell in love with: Morrigan <3The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Oh man, there’s a LOT, but I think Oghren took me by surprise the most. As Anders sorta mentioned, drunken dwarf warrior is a kind of a cliche, but his character ended up being more complex than I expected and his humor, antics, and heart have completely endeared him to me. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: I love Bann Teagan, but I am not as attracted to him as some of the fandom is.The character I love that everyone else hates: I haven’t seen Riordan hate, but I get the feeling I’m more attracted to him than the average fan. I could also say Morrigan and Anora, but I’ve seen a lot of love for them around Tumblr and it warms the heart. ^.^The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Can’t really think of any. I either loved them, have come to love them, or never loved them.The character I would totally smooch: All four love interests!The character I’d want to be like: Zevran ArainaiThe character I’d slap: Bhelen, for general assholitry. Marjolaine and Goldanna, for being nastier than the situation really called for. Loghain, for ever thinking slavery was the answer to a financial crisis. A pairing that I love: Special place in my heart for Morrigan/Teyveos (my warden) as it was my first. But all the romances are wonderful. <3 And heaven help me, I think I am still rooting for Jowan/Lily, even if the chances are slim to none.A pairing that I despise: Morrigan/Alistair, which is unusual because I sometimes like hateships, but I think I enjoy their antagonistic relationship too much to be interested in a possible romance between them.
DA: Awakening
The first character I first fell in love with: Anders, that little shitThe character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Justice, Sigrun, Velanna, and Nathaniel HoweThe character everyone else loves that I don’t: Hard to tell, but I’m pretty sure I dislike all the same people everyone else does as well.The character I love that everyone else hates: I’ve seen a fair amount of love for the Architect, but considering how controversial he can be, I’ll say: the Architect.The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Same as Origins, I either loved them, have come to love them, or never loved them.The character I would totally smooch: Nathaniel HoweThe character I’d want to be like: Sigrun, for her cheerfulness and determination for self-improvementThe character I’d slap: The Baronness. The Mother, although I’m content crossbowing her from afar.A pairing that I love: Anders/Nathaniel, unrequited Justice/Aura, Herren/WadeA pairing that I despise: Can’t think of any pairings I hate for this one, only ones that I don’t actively ship.

The first character I first fell in love with: Varric TethrasThe character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Cassandra, Grand Cleric Elthina, Saemus Dumar, Meredith, and OrsinoThe character everyone else loves that I don’t: Don’t get me wrong,I love Varric, but I am not in love with Varric…which actually came as a bit of a surprise to me.The character I love that everyone else hates: I have a lot of affection for Meredith, despite the way she handled things. And Orsino, despite the way things were handled for him (for which the developers are to blame, or so I understand). I also liked Tallis.The character I used to love but don’t any longer: I liked the Arishok a lot more before he began laying seige to the city.The character I would totally smooch: Fenris <3 and Isabela.The character I’d want to be like: Isabela is my role modelThe character I’d slap: Sister Petrice, for being a shit-disturber. Bartrand, for making me raise 50 sovereigns then backstabbing me. Gamlen, for some of the comments he’s made. Grace, for kidnapping my sister and attacking me after I had shown her mercy. At one point or another during the game, every single one of my beloved companions. A pairing that I love: Carver/Merrill, Aveline/Donnic, and Meredith/Orsino are OTPs. Saemus Dumar/Ashaad is also an OTP, even though it hurts me. I also enjoy Isabela/Fenris and all the Hawke/LI combinations (Fenris/Hawke has a special place in my heart, of course). A pairing that I despise: Danarius/Fenris. I don’t outright despise Isabela/Aveline, but I do prefer them as frenemies.
