I read the last 30 chapters of Attack on Titan (FINALLY caught up) in 3 nights and I think I went into cardiac arrest. It’s been a week and I’m still bothered. So I’ve decided to believe that after the events of Chapter 84, Bertholdt wakes up from his Over the Garden Wall type nightmare. He’s totally not dead, his childhood wasn’t robbed from him, he’s happy with Annie who’s not trapped in a crystal cocoon, and all my other favorite characters and their parents are alive and doing well. Then they all go to a party by the ocean because that’s what these poor kids deserve. This is what I choose to believe and no one can tell me otherwise.

I'm rather confused as to why people thinks of Eldians as a reference to Jews in the WWII, there are many hints about them being more of a reference to Germans in the same period.

One of them is that the philosophy that the author has taken seems to be: "An eye for an eye, the whole world goes blind"
