I’m sure I’m the last person to know about this but the Reverse Wine Snob’s “Best Wines at Trader Joe’s 2023″ page is a godsend I wish I’d found sooner. So far I’ve only tried one of their picks (I’ll report back once I’ve had more) but omggg is it lovely! It’s the Campi Rudi Appassimento Rosso Puglia. It’s full bodied but smooth and supple and mmmhmmmm

And only 6.99 fuck yess

TJ’s Revisited

I went back to TJ’s in Asbury Park for the first time since 2014 last year and it’s more or less the same. I guess this was considered a meat lover’s slice (pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom which isn’t meat but what else would I call this?) and it was decent. The plethora of toppings really helped this slice out and the crust was pretty good with a nice crisp to it. While this slice was nothing spectacular, it wasn’t bad by any means...except for the fact that it cost $3.50 and was on the small side. At least they still rep the Blueberry White Tea!

I saw Old Wounds at the Asbury Park Brewery and it was definitely more disappointing than the pizza.
