GET DOWN TONIGHT
I’m migrating all the posts from my old blog. But it will take a few days since, did you know, there is a daily post limit, lol.
Look out!
I haven't used this tumblr regularly because it's such a pain to sign in and out of my main account. But NO LONGER! I downloaded an alternative tumblr app for my main blog and now I will be signed into both all the time! So you can expect a dramatic upswing in the amount of posts and reblogs. Yes!
Status of the blog
I seem to have this habit of popping on my doll tumblr, queuing a frillion posts, and then not signing on again for another 6 months. Sad, I know, but the truth is my private tumblr dominates my tumblr time a lot. So, if you want to contact me, I suggest sending a PM (I get an email for that), or going through my flickr or etsy. Otherwise I might not see it! And if you want to see more of my stuff and sooner, I suggest heading over to flickr, which I check many times a day and always post to first.
Good news though, I made posts of all my best stuff from the last 6 months or so and I now have 30+ posts of my own stuff queued up, including several new doll posts! And I'll be mixing in as many reblogs as I can, as usual. So yay!
I've been quiet on tumblr for a bit, but only out of tumblr-specific laziness, not out of a lack of involvement with my dolls! Just made a bunch of posts, so there are lots of lovely photos in the queue. And a craft meet tomorrow, so exciting!
who refilled her queue with new photos and reblogs?? me! enjoy. :)
Open for photography critique
I didn't know anything about photography before I started taking photos of my dolls. I think I've come a long way but I still have a lot to learn about what makes a good photo. I would love constructive critique (no insults please) from other doll photo people.
The hardest thing I have trouble with lately is variety. Variety of setting is just an opportunity thing, I don't have time to take my dolls out much. But I'm not sure how to incorporate more variation in lighting.
Other questions: Should I use filters more and how? How do people do that thing where the edges of their photo are framed in pretty blurriness?
Anyways, you can check out my flickr stream here (ignore plethora of con photos...) or just look at my tumblr photos, which are some of the best anyways. Thank you!
