I’m working on my DCBB, but ready for a break for a bit. Going to put a fic on my kindle and take it outside with the nice ocean breeze, right? So I go through @destielfanfic‘s fantasy tags, cause I love fantasy and it’s different enough from what I’m writing to not confuse my poor writer brain. 

And I find their rec for my RBB from two years ago, The Grace Archer. The one where they said, “The amazing art hooked me and the story behind the art reeled me in. This is exactly how a Reverse Big Bang is supposed to work.”

That’s exactly the kind of thing I wasn’t even looking for to give me motivation to keep working on my DCBB. I almost didn’t sign up. So thank you, I guess to the universe, for the reminder that occasionally my work is appreciated, and sometimes (usually) these collaborative challenges result in meeting awesome people.

This is dustyjournal’s knee-weakeningly pretty design for the Down to Agincourt Chitaqua badge (Kansas sunflower plus York rose); but then l insolently, impertinently wondered whether the color l call “Krushnic blue" (#1c4a80) would work as a background (yeah okay maybe I abused the eyedropper tool OKAY SO WHAT IF I DID, HUH, YOU CAN’T PROVE ANYTHING)—right, where was I—ah yes, wondered if Krushnic blue would go well behind it (#sodisrespectful); and then warkitt3nz went and did it, and added spring fanfiction green for the rose petals and sepals; and the combination I find so soothing that I have wound up spending an embarrassing amount of time a) staring at it and b) wanting to have it on/in my person somehow, anyhow, t-shirt, pendant, tattoo, or maybe just print it out on rice paper, ball it up, and eat it?

Someone said “badges” or “pins” or whatever, I kind of had a episode. I cleaned up the badge, punched up the color, and so now here’s a thing. Next I’ll do some color/whatevering with the A3 logo.

Somethin’ going to happen with this, I just don’t know what.
