I'm afraid of Trains... and I just realized why...

So for years now I've been absolutely terrified of trains to the point where I have Nightmares of them coming off the rails and chasing me relentlessly for hours on end.

For a while I couldn't figure out why. I thought maybe it was Choo Choo Charles or maybe those old Thomas the tank engine horror videos I watched with my friends back in 2017. But no. Those only slightly contributed to it.

Ok so like a month ago I bought the 2011 movie "The Little Engine That Could"

(I was so embarrassed buying that movie bro 😭)

As a kid I remember absolutely loving that movie but I got rid of it a long time ago. Now at first I thought it probably was because I was "too old" for it. Tilllll once I bought it my mom mentioned how I used to hate TLETC.... I didn't think much of it considering I used to have a phase where I decided I was too cool for little kids movies. But she said I hated it. I RARELY hate movies... the only ones I actually despise are;

Barbie, the princess and the Popstar

Impys Island

Pixie Dragons

so again I didn't even think too much into it because I got distracted playing video games. And just about 30 minutes ago I was working and failing miserably at making a TADC oc, which I got as far as giving a png ferret rainbow sparkle hair in the shape of a Karen haircut. So I got irritated and wanted to look for inspirational ideas. And that's when I remembered.. "oh hey there's circus themed toys in The Little Engine That Could! Imma go look at them!"

Yeahhhh biiiggg mistaakeee.

Apparently the reason I loved that movie as a kid and couldn't figure out why my mom said I used to hate it was because my brain completely blocked out the memory of one certain... character....

so I Google it and it gave me a weird description about this Nightmare Train and I was thinking Google got mixed up with that one book i think Steven King made that was based off the original story but nightmare fuel horror.

So, knowing my dumbass... I looked up the Nightmare Train.. and holy fucking shit

I regret ever looking up that fucker right there.

I got so many flash backs to nightmares I had, vague scenes from the movie with that dude and how I couldn't sleep for shit as a kid because I was so terrified of him.

And I thought Choo Choo Charles was the reason.. nah that spider locomotive got nothin on this thing that has Haunted my dreams for over a decade.

Well.. at least now I know what caused me to be absolutely terrified of Trains ✨️😭✨️

Also who the hell thought that was a good idea to but in a kids book and movie?!?!?!

Sooo... @lachievart sent me this the other day. Someone in his Crotoonia group chat found this of TLETC scene without Tillie and Doc in it. So sentient rolling stock, I guess some, do exist. Sad thing, there is no name nor gender to this crane.
