Coworkers {Soojung & Qian}
Of her four years of working here, never was she forced to work with another doctor. Sure there were a few small talks here and there among the hospital staff, but this had to be the first time, at least since she joined the team, a job like this was given. Like most, Qian learned to work alone. She disliked others snooping into her business. Too many suggestions will lead to chaos. Not everyone agreed with each other, especially during these times. She really did not want to go through this assignment in fear of unnecessary problems.
She had been paired with a young doctor by the name of Jung Soojung, according to the file she handed a few hours ago. It made wonder just how important this patient was and just how difficult it was to have to assign two doctors. Spending the last few hours researching and preparing herself for the examination, she removed herself from her small office on the second floor and headed down the stairs to the first. She was told they would be meeting after she finishes the check up with the patient. The hallway leading up to the room was dark. It made nervous for some reason. She never liked going to the back of the hospital on the first floor. It always emitted an eerie feeling to her and it made Qian extremely uneasy.
Knocking on the door, she received no answer from within so she let herself in. She found herself in the dark. Wondering if she got led into the wrong room, she struggled to find window blinds to let in some sunlight to the room. Naturally in the dark, her senses heightened dramatically. She could hear the faint creaking near her foot. Brushing it off as just rats squeaking, she made her way to the end of the room. Finally succeeding, she realized she actually did find the correct room number. The patient was just unconscious on the small cot. As if having a seizure, the body on the bed was moving uncontrollably. Qian noticed how the previous doctors had already strapped him to the bed for safety precautions for the next examiners, which was unfortunately her and another. Nearing the bed, she tugged up her sleeve and felt for a pulse on the body. It was faint, but it was there. She jotted an estimated heartbeat on the file when the door creaked open, presumably by her partner, Dr. Jung Soojung.
