tma 78. cracking up at jon giving tim and martin the worst possible excuse to get tim and martin out of the archives. like. cmon jon. "im feeling a bit sick. so. um. you should take a break. so my infection doesn't spread to you. not me though haha. im uh. I have some uh. some business to. to take - aheh. ahem. excuse me. business to take care of. nothing to worry about here :)" and tim just going along with it because he's Done with jon's shit.
i'd forgotten how good the changeling episodes in tma were. the actual statements give me some of the strongest unease of any of the statements in that season and the way you hear jon just... choking as he realizes what's going on with sasha. the way tma 77 handles the contrast between the statement giver's real mom and the Not mom is really fucking good. and, especially with the context of the rest of the series, you get a real sense of the psychology of the Not Thems as they play with their victims. it's incredible stuff.
adelard decker's cool as hell, too.

TMA 77 - The Kind Mother - Jon’s voice at the end, shaken and almost broken, swearing to kill what has taken Sasha - he seems so cold and snobby even at the beginning of TMA, but it’s moments like this that show how much he cares for the people around him.
I also think it’s very clever that the replacement is kinder than the real mother
me, listening to episode 77 (the kind mother) and 78 (the distant cousin) of tma:
Just finished “Distant Cousin”. Micheal, why would you fucking tell him not to destroy the table? Why are you such a cryptic shit?! What purpose does it serve?!
