2, i was wondering if you have any safeguards in place to protect against ableism, racism, and colonialist biases. these were some of the things that have negatively impacted previous fandom experiences i've had and i wouldn't feel comfortable joining on if there's nothing to insure they won't
In terms of safeguards, we’re incredibly dedicated to maintaining a safe space for everyone. Some of the ways that we approach that is having a server safe word that can be triggered anonymously that shows that someone is uncomfortable with the conversation that is happening and that it needs to stop. This is achieved via Carl bot, and also notifies the mods immediately. We have a ticketing service where anyone can open a private ticket with the mods directly to address any concerns they’re having. Finally, mods have access to all channels, any external servers that are created, and all docs which allows us to ensure that everything is in line with our event guidelines. If you have some specific concerns please feel free to contact us and let us what we can do to make you feel safe, as again it’s a significant goal for all of our events to be a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for everyone involved
