ok, so! finished 49, and some fascinating information has been revealed! the one manipulating gwen, the one who wanted lena fired, is augustus. this confirms another thing, the idea that the "text-to-speech"es are individual consciousnesses. still curious why they only began speaking around late 2022-early 2023, roughly. i am holding on to my pet theory that the voices are jon, martin, and jonah, but only because i'm emotionally attached, not because i strongly believe it.

another thing-- gwen's whole speech about using and understanding dread? does not bode well. i didn't enjoy the scary music in that scene! reminded me a bit of bonzo, to be honest!

and the new stuff about ley lines-- fascinating! i am really enjoying all the alchemical stuff. it's not helping with my theorizing though, because i keep catching my theories veering off into wild guesswork based on my past interest in alchemy and how i would write a story.

also, end of 48 with the Archivist sighting and sam & georgie going after it-- i hope no-one dies! i find that unlikely though. i also hope sam can get back to his world...
