The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever
The links to different posts for each of the songs in the album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever.
The third and final ‘Most Beautiful Moment in Life’ album, released May 2016, with featured tracks ‘FIRE’ and ‘Save Me’.
The album combined the previous two and added new material, especially to the storyline. It produced a lot of content and is fondly remembered by many. The performances were everything they needed to be; they told the story, they were nostalgic, they were hype, they brought back the ‘rebel against society’ of BTS’s youth.
It continued the focus on the experiences of youth which became the foundation of BTS’s story, continued their international growth (especially with ‘FIRE’), and seems to have special importance to the members, especially Jimin, at least partially because it also won them their first daesang.
A very interesting album, and era, to discuss.
This is my 9th favourite album out of 16. It is a repackage, but it is a repackage done right. And it was able to completely combine the ‘vibe’ from both of the previous albus, as well as being distinct and leading into Wings era. It also introduced many key symbols and ideas, and was later referenced by BTS to show their growth.
