Today has been a good day. - REI w/girlfriend - sandwich picnicking w/girlfriend - walk on one of my favorite trails w/girlfriend - we went to Crimson Peak - she hid in my lap - we laughed a lot - I fell asleep on her - she asked me to go to Santa Barbara with her?? - gonna do it.

Ooooooooh noooo she was dreaming about me and it incited a grown up talk that somehow included more flirting? I can't deal with this girl I'm gonna die

Beaches are made for 49 degree nights where you huddle (for warmth, obviously, not because she smells fantastic) and watch moonset at 2am. Summer is NOT BAD

In which I am horrendously sick, and horrendously adorable.

So I've had an icky cold/flu virus the past few weeks that I can't seem to kick. This past week it's been the worst, symptom wise. My fever's been everywhere from nonexistent to 102.5. Which was kinda freaky because those dreams were nuts. But ugh. Yeah so I'm sick and feel icky and its no fun at all. And I've been in bed and conked out on codeine for the most part. But today I woke up feeling like death and decided I was going to shower and then see the doctor again. So I did. 

Dr can't do shit because its viral and ugh I have to just sorta rest and do my best to get better and that's frustrating. But I figured if I was already up and dressed I might as well get some errands done. So the Canadian and I ran around the peninsula all day doing errands and by the time we would have had some time to ourselves, it was already past 5. Which was a bummer because his brother's visit ends at 8 tonight, when they go into hibernation in preparation for their 4am departure back to The Great White North. So we got a sammich at Whole Foods and walked Asilomar and held hands and ate yummy food and breathed fresh air and MAN was it nice out today. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous. And I will openly admit it's nice doing coupley things with someone who functions at the same speed I do. BUT YES. We sat and watched the sunset and talked about Star Wars and jellyfish and how he's a golden retriever personified. And then once the sun went down we walked back and I wrote things in the sand because I like doing that and I like to think maybe it'll make some old person smile or something cheesy so I wrote "I love you" in pretty cursive, all flourishy and what not. And then I step back and he's grinning and starts teasing me and I blushed up a storm because *thats not what I meant oh my god knock it off you jerk* and he's so fuckin cute and shit.  I realize this isnt really anything of consequence but it's more a personal post than anyway. Because *feelings* and shit. Ugh. Why do people have to be so goddamn attractive?

So. Um. Hey. So. Are we all aware that men in unbuttoned jeans taking off their shirts while kneeling on beds is, without a doubt, the Sexiest Wonder of the World? Yeah? Good. Just checking. Also, gave him a lesson in why words depicting goodness as relating to an implied scale of whiteness are problematic and he was receptive and wonderful and made me feel good about spreading awareness and my ability to communicate issues of oppression in an easy to comprehend way and yeah. Felt good. Smashing the patriarchy and what not. Also also IM MAKING VALENTINES (announcement to follow)

I built a fort. The Canadian came over and we internetted for 2 hours. I legit almost fell asleep on him because warm and mmmmyes I am cold-blooded and require warmth to sleep. Sunday we've got a hike/movie-night. I'm essited, guys. Gonna get my freckle on!
