An orthographic projection is one way to view a 3D model. By sketching the view based on a line of site, often perpendicular to that view, one can begin communicating what the model looks like to another person. With proper dimensions included, an engineer could recreate the 3D model with a high degree of accuracy. With these blocks, we practice reading orthographic sketches that include a top, front, and side view by building the shapes to match the sketches. Sometimes, it is fun to see what shapes you can put together. Students of Mythbadger, feel free to share your own models for model six.
