How did I end up with such amazing friends through mutual brainrot of one fictional man? I had started the process of commissioning @eriochromatic for art of a scene from the last chapter of TMSA, but unfortunately had to back out of it for personal reasons.

Then @juniper-sunny swooped in, paid for it, and had it finished for me!!!???!?!! I cannot thank you enough, Juni! You are one of the kindest souls I have had the pleasure to come to know. I hope one day I can hang out with you irl. And Erio, as always, you blew this out of the park. Look at how regal and victorious my man is 🥺🥺🥺

Get you some friends that feed into your delusion.

I was determined to go to the Arcane boba event in town before it closed and made reservations with my friends only for the freeze to fuck up our plans. But thankfully we were able to make it happen on the very last day today!

I cosplayed my reader character from "The Mad Scientist's Assistant" (who outside of the fic itself goes by Quinn) and got to take some great pictures with the Silco desk!

just read "the mad scientist's assistant" and I NEED to know: does the cure prolong Silco's life to it's regular limits, and does he regain full feeling in his face?

does the cure prolong Silco's life to it's regular limits

I think the cure stops the disease/toxins in its tracks so it can't do further damage, but it can't heal what's already been killed off. It's not a miracle cure that sets him back to zero or else his scarring would go back to normal which it most certainly doesn't do. So it doesn't so much as extend his life as it does stop the toxins from taking more years off his life.

does he regain full feeling in his face?

Oohhhh I would of course love for this to be the case, but if I follow my own logic in the previous question, then no, it wouldn't unfortunately. I think Silco already mourned the loss of feeling in his face long ago and he's accepted it as part of him. Just like there rarely is no miracle cure for any type of disability, I think Silco learns to just deal with his new "normal."

But oh man, It would be amazing if it did. I could see that being a very interesting process for him as his nerves reconnect and he gets the strange tingly—sometimes itchy—sensation back in his face. And slowly starts to notice more feeling coming back as he puts his foundation.

Yeah, because when I started writing Tailor-made, I decided this was an AU of TMSA Quinn where she inherited her mom's tailor shop (and her parents had died later). So she's a lot less hardened and a lot more warm.

But really I just did that because coming up with OC names and back stories is hard and I wanted to just steal from myself lololol

Am I about to rewrite a "The Mad Scientist's Assistant" scene to match S2 canon slightly better??? It's so tempting.

The only changes would be visual descriptions of the environment. I think the dialogue, mood, and takeaway of the scene would be exactly the same. It would just be the setting.

Spoilers for the show and what I'd change in TMSA:

I wanna rewrite the Orianna reveal scene in TMSA to match the show. So instead of Singed's shrine with the Shimmer flowers, it'd be her tank. The sentiment would essentially be the same.

Peeps that have read TMSA, what do you think? Keep my version or update to match?

I started writing a song back in October based on TMSA. I'm happy to say I finished it! I still need to practice it a bit more before getting a final recording, but I'm so excited for y'all to listen to it that I'm posting this teaser of the lyrics. Enjoy!
