Haru wo Daite is the manga and in the manga, like the animu they are actors. Chapters in they play the role of the characters of Winter Cicada. (But in the anime for Winter Cicada they don't tell you that.) But that's why the character designs for both animes is exactly the same.
Haru wo Daite Ita is pretty long though.

I read Haru wo Daite Ita (which you probably know is connected and shit) so I got really attached to the characters and I fucking bawled. Haru wo Daite Ita is like my fucking favorite yaoi manga though.
