shoutout to house for constantly trying to make us accept that we’re physically disabled sorry we won’t listen to you -peter
So while watching season 4 of the good place I just had a sudden memory of that tumblr post where you meet a being that tells you every person on earth is you and you're going to be reincarnated until you're better and then you'll find out what the actual afterlife is where is that post because I need to reread it like whoa
Taking a personal day tomorrow from work... I hate asking for days off unless I'm absolutely sick as a dog or just super mentally checked out. This move has taken a lot out of me and most of my crap is still in boxes. The washer and dryer arent hooked up yet and I have no clean clothes to wear for work. Or I should say clean clothes that fit and I am able to find. My boss understood, recently moved herself so she gets it and was fine. Plus I have the time to play with. I just feel like a scuzzy useless person asking to not come into work... But when I don't take care of myself I end up burning out worse than if I did take time for myself. .. Sorta trying to do more self care I guess. Plus I've been getting awful sleep so it will be nice to sleep in for the first time in 2 weeks. Lighter note! Moved Salem, my 13 year old black cat, into the house officially Saturday evening. Kept him barricaded to the second floor only for 24 hours while we finished moving stuff downstairs and the basement around. Sunday evening I let him be free but he was scared to come down the stairs for the first 15 minutes. I sat at the bottom of the stairs trying to assure him everything was okay. He adjusted upstairs pretty quickly and was hella curious about down stairs. But once he had the chance to come down he was very cautious and vocal. Eventually he came down and took it room at a time. He did a cute peramter sniff in one room and quickly went back to the stairs. Then he got the courage to dive deeper to the next room. He has mainly kept to the second floor and rarely comes to the first floor. Today he is much better. Still spent most the day upstairs but came and explored more downstairs. Plus he's finally laying with me on the couch! Win. It's new and exciting and scary. But we'll get through this. He's a good cookie for adjusting fairly well. Moving from a house of 10 years to an appartment of 3 years to now a new house, I feel like that would stress him out? Maybe it does and I can't tell? But I'd like to think he's handling it well. Better than me that's for sure.
Call out for House, please stop playing loud ass stupid music in the inner
