Bonktober 3 days in one - Mask / Cold / Fear
Oh never mind the Toa Empire story is a blood bath, Greg taking advantage to the lack of canoncity to murder everyone.
There's some previous references to comic books, so I guess this takes inspiration from classic What If, in which everyone dies because Marvel at the time wanted to push the idea that 616 was the best universe
All the Piraka
The Piraka! Of course! It’s been so long, I had almost forgotten they were Dark Hunters at one point.
Using their Forrest Gump-like ability to witness and survive almost every historical event in the universe, the Piraka were present for the siege of Odina, where they killed several Toa before escaping with Guardian’s group to Xia. From there, they traveled to the outback of the Southern Continent, raiding frontier villages for sport and goods. They have become public enemies numbers 1 through 6 there, dodging Toa teams and killing more Toa when they can. Recently, Zaktan stumbled across legends of a powerful mask hidden in the center of the Southern Continent, and is planning something big...
Okay Bionicle Retold sold me on the Toa Empire when the universal-hopping Takanuva runs into Takua who never became a Toa
how is the situation in Stelt? does Tuyet even care about the classism there or does she think that only Matoran matter and therefore doesn't give a Kinloka's ass about it? or any other (flawed) societies outside Matoran inhabitated domains? Does Tuyet also enforce her authority there?
Tuyet has extended the reach of the Toa Empire through “diplomatic” means to encompass most of the known universe. After the Toa shattered the Dark Hunters and the Brotherhood of Makuta, most inhabited realms partnered with the Empire, allowing Toa to travel through their lands and enforce the will of Mata Nui. To maintain a semblance of independence, Tuyet has appointed Overseers in each of these regions, who report back to her. For example, the Overseer of Xia is a cunning Vortixx named Roodaka.
With regard to the plight of the proletariat on Stelt: Tuyet does not see it as the Empire’s mission to improve living conditions for all beings in the universe. The duty of the Toa is to protect and shepherd the Matoran, the chosen workers of the Great Spirit. So long as the other species in the universe are doing their jobs and not harming Matoran, Tuyet is content to keep their societies unchanged.
You can go to @quakeandpals, who’s playing Koradak, a politician on Stelt, for more information about this!
Airwatcher, Minion, Firedracax
Airwatcher defended his “territory” on Odina from all who ventured within, including ten Vahki and a Toa of Stone, whom he disintegrated with his acid spear. The Empire replied swiftly and decisively, deploying a Toa of Air to outmaneuver Airwatcher, a Toa with a Mask of Shielding to distract him, and a Toa of Jungle to capture him with vines. The Toa brought him to Metru Nui, where he was tried as a Dark Hunter and executed with his own spear. It is unlikely that he ever understood what was happening to him.
In the core dimension, Minion left the Brotherhood of Makuta shortly after the theft of the Kanohi Avohkii. In this universe, the Brotherhood was attacked before that future came to pass. When the Empire struck Destral, Minion’s creator fled with him in tow, keeping him for use as an assistant and bodyguard. Using his ability to track antidermis, Minion helped his master track down and band together with other Makuta, forming a cabal of rebels. The cabal remains in contact with Teridax, waiting for his orders.
Firedracax, née Dragahno, was covered in a previous ask.
Hordika Dragons?
I’ve had two asks about these guys, which is surprising, because I often forget they exist. (My bad!)
The Hordika Dragons were unleashed when the Empire came to Odina, breaking through their ranks and killing several Toa. One was killed in the battle, three were captured by the Empire, and four escaped.
The captured Hordika Dragons were taken to Metru Nui and given over to the Ga-Metru labs, where researchers experimented on them to gauge the properties of Visorak venom and the efficacy of various potential antidotes. One of them died after having a violent reaction to an antidote, and the remaining two are kept heavily sedated, with constant health inspections.
The rest of the Hordika Dragons escaped with Guardian’s group. They eventually cast off for the Southern Islands, landing in an uninhabited jungle. They have made this place their paradise, killing anyone else who sets foot on its shores.
If you're still taking asks regarding Dark Mirror Month, I'd be very gracious if you were to tell me what happened to Gatherer, Poison, Kraata-kal, Shadow-Stealer, and Ravager?
I sure am! I answered a few of these before, but that’s okay - from now on, if I get duplicate asks, I’m just going to share even more information about that Dark Hunter!
