Saturday Status Update

Hello my dear people of the internet,

I think I finally know what to do with this blog!

I know you know me as a fanfiction writer and I know that a lot of you probably are only interested in that.

But I also have been writing a bunch of original stories, since like 2013. Most of them are only for me and I never planned on publishing them proper. But I have two that I want to actually publish, and both are “pretty close” to that.

And my New Years resolution is to do just that. Publish one of them in this year. In the last weeks I have read them again and I am really, really hooked.

So, what are they?

One is a fantasy story full of interpersonal and political conflict (and also gay romance), that will likely be a triology since it’s already 40k words but only a third of the way finished.

The other is a sci-fi story that has been inspired by and will likely resemble my dbh writing the closest. But in a more serious, fleshed out and in parts darker manner than my short stories on here. Those of you who have read my werewolf AU on AO3, think that but truly sci-fi.

I will be posting about them on here regularly-ish with the tag #my writing or their titles once they have one, so those of you who do not want to hear anything non-fanfic related can block it.

I will also still write fanfictions, but I think it is better if I write them completely first before uploading the chapters. So it will not take forever to update.

Long time no see…

Hey there. So… 4 years (5years?)… I guess? Well, during the time I've been gone and concentrated on my mental health and getting my passion for writing back. And the last month I have been writing relatively consistenty for myself again and I can feel it's finally back now! Its all stuff that's close to my heart and written for the total audience of one (me). Also deliberately not any dbh content.

I have to say I thought I fell out of the fandom entirely after what happened that made me quit this blog. But I have found my love for it again. Especially now that AI is no longer just sci-fi I have some cool new ideas I want to play with.

That is to say, I will not start up prompts again. Definitely not in the form that it was nor daily. That was kinda crazy of me and I'm currently doing my Phd, so nope, freetime is a precious treasure now.

It definitely was fun, so Im not completely against it, but I have to think about it and how to do it thoroughly before I do something like this again.

But I will write again. For all my fandoms, not just one. Maybe some shorts here, maybe something longer on AO3. It might take a little while until the next update on here, but this blog will no longer be officially inactive.

So, I hope you have had numerous wonderful days since we've last read each other and I wish you even more till the next time!

P.S.: Wolfheart is not abandoned!!! I am just at a point that made me want to write the continuation in the first place, so I wanted to write the scene at full power, not just write it so it was written.

Goodbye

Okay, so as you may have noticed, this blog is kind of dead. And for at least those that I've promised stories I didn't manage writing in the end, if not any of you who've read my stories, I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye.

I had a few bad years for my mental health now, lost a bunch of friends and really used the time to think about what I want. And over that time writing became more stressful to me, especially these short fics. Because I usually like to write longer stories with more time to develop something. Don't get me wrong, I loved writing these short fics and I loved the interaction with you even more. But I just can't keep going. I have recovered from a lot in the time I haven't been writing here and I can finally say that I'm happy with my life again although I'm not without regret about what I did throughout these years. I am gradually re-discovering my passion for writing and art again now. Fandom wise, I've went on. I like dbh and most of the fandom behind it, but there are too many bad memories, so I won't write for it for quite a while. I will upload all I've written on here on AO3 whenever I have time and feel like proofreading over 500 shorts. In the meantime, I discovered Transformers for me and I dont think I will fall out of it any time soon.

For this blog I honestly don't know what to do with it. I dont want to leave it completely, as it has been intended as a multi-fandom blog and just kinda... drifted into full dbh mode? So maybe I'll just continue pushing my writing on here? Maybe I'll just start a new general art blog? I honestly don’t know if that will add pressure again, so I’m just writing for myself for now. No more prompts for the time being though. I simply dont have the energy for it.

To all those who were there at any point, thank you! I should have pulled the break far earlier I guess, but I really enjoyed talking to you and writing stories for you! Thank you for all the prompts and jokes and comments, you've really kept me going through difficult times. I guess that's it from my side.

Status Update

Hey, I know my last Update isn’t that far back but I thought to give you another one. I feel a lot better now that I finally have time to myself again and what’s a big relief for me is that I can write again. At times it seemed like I just couldn’t do that anymore but I guess that’s what happens when you have no energy XD

So yeah, I’m back to writing and I really want to write your stories because you all waited for them so long already. But I won’t do that yet, because when I’m back I want to be back fully with a regular schedule again and not be apologising every day or so.

I’m thinking of a new schedule because I will be working either one or two days of the week next to my studies and now that I’ve moved and won’t spend half my day driving through half of Germany, I also want to enjoy student life a bit.

Also I got back to A Soldier’s Purpose, my book that’s halfway finished but I never got to actually finish it. Well, let’s say I’m currently writing the final draft and I set myself a deadline for it too.  I’ve said this so many times to myself but now I really am giving myself one year to finish it. I still need to translate it into German afterwards and find a good way to publish it, as well as coming to terms that my family will get to know a lot more about me than I would be comfortable with but who cares. So yeah, one and a half years. This time for real.

I still have a lot of stuff to do, but I plan to be back 10th October and unless something unexpected happens, I think the date stays, too.

Late Status Update

Alright, this is long overdue XD First to my stories:

The new Schedule for this half a year will be shorts on the weekend, two to four per weekend as I don’t know yet how much time I have during the week to prewrite. On weekends I will post something I decided to call Snippets and will tag as such. From impressions to headcannons to a single word, you can send me anything, it will just be really short like half a page or something. I will upload an example today just so you get an idea of it. AO3 stories will return 20th March with my last Big Bang project for the AU Big Bang. It will be a Reed900 Interstellar AU.

That would be it, so now you get cat pics XD The two cuties arrived Saturday and are rescues from Spain. The red one is called Spot after Data’s cat and super cuddly. The grey one is called Wilma after the Flintstones. She definitely is the boss of the two. It’s just great to have some life back in the flat and to come back to someone everyday.
