How did Hitomi-chan meet Tobio! Where and how was their reactions?
The first time Hitomi met Tobio was when Karasuno first came to Aoba Johsai and had a friendly match. When the game started, she was already watching them from above. She also wanted to meet Karasuno’s players and wanted to know how good they are. Hinata caught her attention first as he was the one being clumsy and loud. Even knocked over the refree. Hitomi even witness Hinata served-the-ball-onto-Tobio’s-head. She couldn’t help herself but to smile a little. Her focus then shifted to the setter and she was amazed how perfectly timed Kageyama’s ball set. And it was accurate too! From that moment, Hitomi likes Kageyama’s set.
She even asked about Kageyama (just some volleyball related questions) from Kunimi and Kindaichi which they were curious why Hitomi would want to know about Kageyama. Both of them even told Hitomi about Kageyama being the ‘King of Court’.
The time where both of them meet was on the next day evening. She decided to go to Karasuno and meet the team. The whole team was shocked why a student from Aoba Johsai came to their gym. At first they thought she wanted to spy on them but she quickly said that she wanted to apologise on Oikawa’s cocky behaviour yesterday. She even confessed that she likes Kageyama’s set and asking permission from Karasuno team to visit and watch them practice sometimes which they all happily welcomed her.
When Hitomi confessed that she likes how Kageyama sets the ball, the team made a quick glance on Tobio. Hinata and Tanaka were a bit jealous, Tsukishima and Yamaguchi smirked at him and the 3rd Year were feeling proud towards Kageyama. Kageyama don’t know how to react but he flustered.
How does Tobio celebrate Hitomi-chan’s Birthday??
This would be the first birthday Tobio celebrate Yoshino’s birthday.
“Wanna go grab some ramen after practice later?” Kindaichi asked. School time already over and he immediately shoved his school supplies into his bag.
“Again? I think we need to change since we ate it for three days already.” Hitomi closes her book and packed everything up. “Okay how about you choose, Princess?” Kindaichi crossed his arms and leaned on the doorframe.
“Treat me some tempura and spicy salmon roll. I want those,” Hitomi said as she went out from her class, leaving Kindaichi gaped at the food she requested. “Hold on!! Reasonable price please!!” he walked faster to catch up with Hitomi.
After changing their shoes, Kindaichi immediately went to change to his sports uniform while Hitomi went upstairs of the gymnasium to watch the boys doing some practices. It’s her favourite spot to observe each and every one of players. Setter is her favourite position player and she admires her senpai’s set. Although her senpai is a pain in the neck, she really put high respect on him.
“Yahoo~ Hitomi-chan~!”
Speak of the devil.
She had the urge to roll her eyes but that would be disrespectful. Her eyes shifted to the person that called her and saw Oikawa senpai waving at her and waved back. Oikawa was still waving until Mochizuki senpai hit him with the clipboard and a whack from Iwaizumi senpai; nagging about being serious and don’t fool around. The trio gave Hitomi a wave before being serious again.
The practices went for about 2 hours or more and Hitomi never gets bored watching them practices. She later grabbed her bag and went downstairs after the practices ended. She took out her phone and texted in her groupchat that includes Kunimi, Kindaichi and other 3 Year 1 boys.
‘I will wait for you guys nearby the school gate. Don’t be late!!’
Hitomi was about to lock her phone when a text message came in. Her eyes immediately widen seeing the sender’s name and quickly unlock her phone.
‘Hey, Yoshino-san? Are you still at your school?’
‘Yeah. The practices just ended. Is there anything I can help you? And please drop the san.’
‘Sorry. Uhm.. do you think you can come to the school gate?’
‘…my school gate or your school gate?’
‘YOUR school gate.’
‘Now?’
‘Now.’
Hitomi sped up her walking. She was so anxious yet excited to meet the person. When she nearly reached the destination, she saw a tall boy in black uniform, back leaning on the gate. She checked herself on her phone camera before greeting the latter.
“Hey, Kageyama. What are you doing here?” she asked, trying not to sound so excited. Kageyama was a bit shocked when he was greeted by a half monotonous voice. “Y-Yoshino! Hey. H-how are you?”
“Fine, thanks. Is your injuries getting better now?”
“I’m okay now. That ボケ’s injuries getting better too” Seeing Yoshino nodded, he continued, “I uhm…actually want to give you something.” Hitomi’s face is full of question marks when Kageyama fumbling into his backpack and hold it out to Hitomi; waiting for her to take it. He was holding out a long small rectangle box that was wrapped in blue wrapper with a small bow on it. He was blushing furiously and at this moment it feels like his shoes was gaining his attention. Hitomi stared at his scowling red face. He looks really adorable to be honest.
She took the gift and asked what’s the gift for? “I know your birthday is in 2 more days but I’ll be going to Tokyo at that time. We will doing some practices with another school and…and I don’t want you to wait.” Kageyama still not dare to look at her in the eyes. Hitomi on the other hand, went speechless for 20 seconds before blushing as well. She felt so touched when Kageyama remembers her birthday and even buy something for her. She bet Hinata and Tsukishima suggested some ideas to give.
“A…arigatou, Kageyama” she said, both of them still blushing and not making eye contact. Mentally slapped himself, Kageyama shook his head and placed his hands on Hitomi’s shoulder hoping she making eye contact with him and she did. “Ano…Y-Yoshino…I..I….”
“AH!!! What are you doing to Hitomi-chan?!?!”
A loud interrupted voice making both of them jolted in surprise. From their view, saw a group of volleyball player exiting the school. Eventhough the distance is quite far, it’s a surprise that Oikawa can see both of them.
“TOBIO-CHAN! HANDS OFF HITOMI-CHAN! WHAT ARE YOU DOING INFRONT OF OUR SCH- OW!!”
“Don’t yell, Tooru!”
“Iwa-chan! Anzu hit me.”
“……”
“You guys are so mean!”
Hitomi returned her gaze back to Kageyama. “You better hurry now. They’re coming here” she said. Kageyama gave an apologise and promised to see her later. The next move from Kageyama made Hitomi blushed hard again and unable to react.
Kageyama pulled her into a hug and whispered a “Happy Birthday” before letting her go.
“OI KORA!! ARE YOU HUGGING HER??”
“A-arigatou, K-Kageyama-kun,” Hitomi felt so lightheaded. Kageyama gave her a smile and left the place immediately before he gets hit with his Oikawa senpai. When the group reached to Hitomi’s side, Oikawa mumbled something about “I’m gonna get Tobio-chan later” and “Poor Hitomi-chan” while Iwaizumi dragging him back home.
Kindaichi and Kunimi asked what happened just now and Hitomi shook her head, saying it’s none of their business (she already put the gift in her bag). “About your promise treating me spicy salmon roll, is it still on?” She gave Kindaichi a smirk. “Oh my god I never promise, Princess! When did I ever?” “Make that for two people, Kindaichi,” Kunimi interrupted. Hitomi and Kunimi let out a laugh leaving Kindaichi behind staring at them in disbelief.
The present Kageyama gave was a necklace with three charms; a green sapphire gem charm, a letter of H charm and a volleyball charm. She really appreciate the gift of course since the necklace must be very pricey. On her birthday, she wore the necklace and received a Happy Birthday text from Kageyama, Hinata and Tsukishima.
She also received a photo of happy Karasuno from Hinata. Her senpais and friends were all throwing her a party. On that night, she send Kageyama a picture of her wearing the necklace which Kageyama was blushing on the other side. After coming back from Tokyo, Kageyama invited Hitomi over to his house and celebrate Hitomi’s birthday just the two of them. It was awkward at first but they manage to lighten up the mood by talking about volleyballs and personal questions next.
(Sorry this is too long for an ask. I think I get too carried away. Also, I’m sleepy when writing the ending so I hope it’s not crappy)

(Before you judge me, I was actually doing my ‘research’ on anatomy, position, sounds and etc. Suddenly, I found a game with an MC called Tobio from Magicami game. Basically a harem game I guess... so I tried to find girls with similar voice to Hitomi and Ao matched eventho not 100% accurate. There’s actually more screaming but i decided to cut it out nyehe~)

Prompt Writing: ‘Tobio gets detention. Hitomi, not wanting to be alone, joins them’.
“KAGEYAMA!!! HINATA!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!”
A loud scream from outside of the class echoed through the classroom hallway. All of the students, even staff in high school definitely recognised the owner of that voice. It belonged to the headmaster of the school. Rumour says that he wore a toupee to cover his bald spot. Numbers of heads peeking out from class to witness a chaotic scene. They saw two boys from 1st Year grabbing each other’s collar.
Hinata quickly defended himself and let go of Kageyama’s collar. “It was Kageyama, Sir!! He pushed me and made me bump into this vase, Sir!!” Hinata shrieked. Kageyama grunted since it was true. But geez can’t this boy make a white lie? It was an accident!
Actually both of them were making a bet that whoever reaches their class first will have to treat curry bun for a week and both of them neither wanted to give up. The two ran so fast until Kageyama accidentally pushed Hinata and made him hit the headmaster's favourite vase.
“Kageyama!! Go to the detention class! Right now!!” the headmaster said in his angry tone while pointing to the direction of the detention class. Kageyama frowned and slowly walked his way to the said room. Hinata flashed his victory grin but quickly gulped when he saw the headmaster’s furious face. “Hinata! Go back to your classroom!!” “Y-yes, Sir!!”
Everyone who was the audience quickly retreated back to their seats when their class teacher arrived. Yoshino Hitomi, Kageyama and Hinata’s friend who was in their next class, saw Kageyama getting detention. It is semi-true that Hitomi actually had a crush on Kageyama and his setting on volleyball. She loves to watch how Kageyama plays. She stared blankly at her teacher who was explaining about equations while her mind was planning something. Her two childhood friends, Kunimi and Kindaichi, noticed that she was in her own space….so Kindaichi threw a small paper ball at Hitomi and she snapped back to reality.
“What’s up, Hitomi? You are not focusing on the lesson”, whispered Kindaichi who sat in front of her. Hitomi blushed. Never thought that someone would catch her daydreaming. “N-nothing….say…I never got any detention before. How do you get one?” asked Hitomi.
Kindaichi and Kunimi exchanged looks. “Why do you want to get detention for”, asked Kunimi, who sat next to Hitomi. “I…was just curious what it's like to sit in a detention class,” Hitomi said. She took off her glasses to wipe off small dusts that landed on her glass and put it back on.
“Or is it because you want to accompany your crush?” teased Kunimi and it was a jackpot. Hitomi cleared her throat to cover up the embarrassment. Kunimi sighed. “You just have to make trouble and the teacher will send you.”
“Yoshino! Kunimi! Stop talking! Kindaichi, face infront! What are you three talking about? Do you even pay attention to what I’m teaching? Miss Yoshino, please come to the front and answer question number 5. Do provide some calculations as well”, their teacher called them out.
“Here’s your chance, Hitomi. Do calculations wrongly and he will send you to detention class for not paying attention”, advised Kunimi. Hitomi nodded and got up from her seat. She took the chalk from the teacher and wrote it on board. She knew the answers already but she wrote it wrong on purpose. After she answered, she put down the chalk and facing the teacher. The teacher checked on her answer. “Miss Yoshino. I know you are a very clever girl and would answer this correctly even with eyes closed but…. It’s okay! Everyone makes mistakes! Please return to your seat” said the teacher. Hitomi was in disbelief.
“Uhm so no detention for me, Sir?” she asked out of curiosity. The teacher shook his head. “Nope! It’s alright! Like I said, everyone makes mistakes. I will let it slide, Miss Yoshino.”
Hitomi clicked her tongue. The plan failed. She returned to her seat and glared at Kunimi for making her have high hopes. “Hey don’t glare at me! Koutaro always get detention for answering wrongly,” Kunimi defended himself.
“Try being a rebel, Princess” suggested Kindaichi. Although Kunimi and himself knew he had a crush on Hitomi, he will always try to be a supportive friend. “Why don’t you drop your books with a loud thud and loudly saying “Aaaahh! I don’t want to study anymore!”. That should do the trick.”
Hitomi nodded. She stared at her books on the table, picked it up and dropped on the floor. It was producing a loud thud as if someone just dropped a big box. She looked up at her teacher and said, “Aaah…I don’t want to study anymore, Sir”. To everyone, her voice always had a monotonous tone and she looked like a bad actor who reads scripts on board.
“Miss Yoshino, what is going on with you? Are you okay? Geez the weather must be too hot that it’s gotten into your head! Kindaichi, Kunimi! Help her with her books okay?” the plan once again failed. “Are you okay, Miss Yoshino? Do you want to go to the nurse room?”
“Wait…what about detention, Sir?” Hitomi was very confused. Why was it so hard to get a detention?
“Huh? No detention for you. I understand the weather is hot. Please relax”, answered the teacher.
Hitomi cannot believe this. She watched Kunimi and Kindaichi bending down to pick up her books. “Sorry the plan failed,” said Kindaichi. Hitomi shook her head. She was so confused how hard it is to get detention for her. This will be her last attempt.
She stood up from her seat and walked over next to her teacher. She talked to him that nobody in class can hear what she is saying. The teacher nodded his head. He wrote something on a piece of paper and gave it to Hitomi. Hitomi returned to her seat and packed her bags.
Kunimi, Kindaichi and the rest of the class were unbelieved. All it took for Hitomi to get a detention was just ask for it!
Hitomi flashed a small smile before exiting the classroom.

Kageyama heard a knock on the door and noticed a familiar figure. It was Hitomi. He was shocked to see Hitomi in detention class because….Hitomi actually a top student in 1st Year! How can she get into trouble? Both of them waved when they saw each other.
“Wow, Hitomi! This is the first time I see you in detention class,” said Kageyama watching Hitomi sitting next to him. Hitomi smiled. “Me too.”
“So, what did you do?”
“Nothing. All I did was ask for it.”
Kageyama was shocked and he thought he misheard it. “What?”
“I just wanted to.”
“…… You always surprise me.”

While Hitomi’s friends, some of them were heartbroken. Iwaizumi senpai giving full support along with Anzu senpai. Oikawa felt like it was a huge chaos case when he found out (but Iwaizumi and Anzu knocked him some sense). Kunimi congratulated and happy for her. Kindaichi was heartbroken but still congratulated her (Hitomi was shocked when Kindaichi confessed to her. She only thought of him as best friend)
