In the end, it's your show and your decision. The statement "a line we do not cross" sounds like whatever the internet thinks, you're going with the clean version. Ultimately you're the one who has to decide--you or your troupe--how thick the red line is. I think the precedent set with Stygian Sisters at the fall show (where they used the clean version of "This Is The New Shit") sets a precedent. Everyone knew what the lyrics were, edit or no.
ok, yeah, that’s pretty true. I was leaning towards clean, and that’s what I sent off. E was happy with whichever I chose. I actually didn’t know there was a clean version until today -- I found it while I was researching ways to make the muffling sound better.
I just waffle with decisions, and the internet helps be focus my waffling.
And then I went and danced with it. And it was still good. A little different, but still good.
