               𝐒𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐒 𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐍.   broken  bitch  status  invoked  only  by  the  HIGHER  up  —  who  is  she  to  deny  OIKAWA   of  the  request  ‘  you  know  what  to  do  before  the  match  .  wanna  see  how  he  acts  .  fucking  freak  .  ‘  made  with  GOLDEN  TONES  and  scheming  smile  curling  on  his  lips  .  (  how  gross  .  she  wonders  if  her  fan  club  likes  this  slimy  part  of  him  —  the  manipulative  part  barely  shown  upon  slivers  of  closed  eye  smiles  and  hands  that  seem  like  they  should  be  wrapped  around  a  throat  if  only  to  SHOW  he  could  kill  ,  but  is  a merciful  god  .  she  wonders  if  they’d  still  like  him  .  probably  .  they’re  all  DUNCES  .  )

              she  almost  defended  him  .  spit  fire  from  the  tongue  reserved  only  for  ice  ,  spit  venom  at  his  feet  just  to  see  him  dance  and  apologize  to  KAGEYAMA  —  but  aiko’s  not  strong  enough  for  that  .  frost  returned  as  quickly  as  boiling  anger  dancing  beneath  her  skin  fizzled  out  ,  as  she  offered  him  a  shrug  .  

             AND  NOW  ,  sinner  she  is  ,  stands  in  front  of  him  ,  hidden  in  shameful  jacket  from  a  shameful  school  that  she  wishes  she’s  never  stepped  foot  in  .  (  ...  this  is  why  you  don’t  like  these  kind  of  things  .  intricate  friendships  sap  energy  in  loving  ways  and  make  your  voice  get  caught  in  your  throat  ,  make  your  chest  tight  and  eyes  water  .  people  only  get  hurt  around  you  .  you’d  call  yourself  a  bad  luck  CHARM  ,  but  that’s  much  too  kind  ,  much  too  ...  cute  for  an  affliction  like  this  .  this  is  why  you’re  alone  kid  .  it’s  why  you’re  always  alone  .  )  but  if  she’s  to  do  something  ,  she’ll  do  it  right  .  

            ❛   ...   DON’T  BE  STUPID  ,   ❜  spoken  with  that  same  crassness  he’s  come  to  recognize  ,  make  him  regret  ever  listening  to  your  voice  .  there’s  no  golden  or  silvered  tones  ,  just  the  ice  that  oikawa  wants  from  you  .  ❛   you’re  not  ...   comparable  to  oikawa  -  senpai  .  you   ...  you’re  worthless .  ❜   SAY  it  like  a  calming  realization  ,  even  if  heart  twinges  in  reaction  to  her  own  words  ,  eyes  burning  behind  closed  lids  (  as  if  awaiting  some  strike  .  some  punishment  .  this  time  ,  for  a  split  moment  ,  you  think  you  deserve  it   )  .  at  least  make  it  believable  .

for once, things seemed to be going smoothly ; which, at once, was both a relief & a means for kiyoko to feel slightly discomforted. typically on trips like this, SOMETHING would go wrong. they’d be missing a player, or the bus would be late, or hinata would be sick again. the fact that the entire team had loaded onto the bus smoothly, without any hitch in the schedule, was strangely efficient. 

but of course, it couldn’t be so, knowing karasuno. kiyoko’s heart feels tense in her chest as she makes her final rounds, feeling as though SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN to upset the whole balance. & so it does, as she shuffles down the middle aisle of the bus counting their passengers.

the music is so loud kiyoko can practically feel her ribcage THUMP along to the beat --- some electronic-sounding song she’s never heard before. the room packed to the brim with people, hot as ever, & needless to say ... not the type of place that she thought she’d ever find herself in. or that she would think kageyama would find himself in, for that matter.

she may be a university student, but clubs have never been one of her preferred places to be. always too loud & busy, & ever so uncomfortable, she’s only visited a few times with some friends from school but managed to make excuses to leave early. she supposes it should be no different than those times now that the team has invited her with them, & if kageyama hadn’t refused the invitation she didn’t think it would be very keen of her to try either. 

but the dancing didn’t help, nor would it ever. some of the players had asked her before, but she politely declined. the time would soon come where it might be appropriate & still polite to leave ; she’d come, had a drink, & talked equally to as many players as she could, but the music & heat had started to give her a headache & she didn’t think she could stay much longer. she was CERTAIN of that when kageyama tried --- & didn’t succeed --- to dance, too. the grace on the court that he showed with such precise, sharp yet delicate movements was completely lost on this stage, & it was hard to watch. he hadn’t drank, either ... it was just bad. she felt a frown grow on her face, & cocked her head in slight confusion. perhaps it would be best for all parties if she quietly excused herself & didn’t have to watch any longer. maybe he should, too, before she would hear the team tomorrow talking about how he had danced.

The voice brought her to a stop. Katsumi glanced to the boy facing her, a brow arched. “Lost?” she hummed and pressed her lips together. “Where are you supposed to be?” she asked.

She wasn’t the best with directions, so if she helped him, he couldn’t blame her if he only got more lost, right?

"... it's spicy." he makes a face, eyelids blinking rapidly and head snapping back from unexpected flavor. spicy things are not at all his favourite, something he hoped she would be aware of by now— "why," cue a faint pout upon visage. he'll still eat it but ... preference is to sweet things.

            ❛    …   i’ll  EAT  it  .  ❜   plain  words  from  the  other  ,  golden  gaze  to  pick  up  from  her  own  LUNCH  towards  the  other  ;  something  akin  to  adoration  flickering  in  eyes  as  she  holds  her  own  chopsticks  in  her  LUNCH  .  ❛   here  .   ❜   OFFERS  up  some  sort  of  kindness  ,  although  only  half  ,  boxed  MILK  decorated  with  some  kind  of  dancing  strawberries  on  it  .   ❛   you  like  …  sweeter  things  ,  right  ?  ❜

       a  small  pause  .  COMFORTING  ,    something  to  take  in  stride  with  her  ,  and  him  ,  small  beats  of  comforting  to  be  addressed  as  she  pushes  her  food  around  gently  with  utensils  .   ❛   —  anyways  ,  i  should  …  get  back  to  …  seijou’s  side  .  ❜  GENTLE  press  of  lips  to  cheek  (  stain  of  vanilla  now  shiny  on  cheek  )  ,  ❛   good  luck  out  there  .   ❜  another  pause  .  ❛   even  though  it’s  a  skilled  …  event  and  has  NOTHING  to  do  with  luck  .  ❜

        ICE   melts  away  at  the  other  ,  smiling  eyes  to  reach  his  even  if  there’s  a  LINE  on  her  lips  .  ❛   but  good  luck  ,  anyways  .  ❜

Hello! :)

Paper - What is your favorite novel?

I’m not even going to mention Harry Potter because we all know, but I really like We Were Liars by E. Lockhart.

Gazelle - Do you participate in the arts?

Not really. My friends have told me that I’m good at acting but that’s pretty much it. I suck at drawing... and singing... and everything else.

Cedar - What is your favorite season?

I looooove Winter because of the weather and the whole Christmas vibe but I kinda like Summer because I don’t have to do anything? I hate the weather though?
