TIL: Blue eyes don’t actually have pigment like brown eyes do. They are completely clear, like glass. They only look blue because the microscopic structure of the eye forces blue light to bounce around and scatter back at you. This is why some babies have blue eyes at first - they haven’t produced the pigment that makes it coloured.
