Rules for making a live action adaptation

2. Fine... first off it needs to come from love the original story. If you're trying to critique the story. fuck off write your own

3. Of course there's going to end up with things on The Cutting Room floor. But if the first thing you cut is people of color or religion or orientation that you don't like. Fuck off write Your Own Story

4. If you think at any point this would be a good story if it wasn't so goofy looking. shut up write your own story. There is a reason it looks like that. if you're embarrassed about it don't do it adaptation. One piece does not look like Pirates of the Caribbean and that's for a reason. The X-Men having flashy outfits is there for a reason. Them all looking like they're from The Matrix in the first X-Men movie did not make any sense. X-Men all is about individual differences. Having a uniform look does not serve the story.

5. It's a live action but more than 50% of it is CGI. it's not really live action. It's animation with film background. Looking at you live action Lion King. Not one of your characters is an actual living person/animal. If all your actors are CGI it is not live action

6. The problems with live action versus animation is it's hard to get the actor to look exactly how you want. But if you're deliberately miscasting. It has to follow within some parameters. Princess Vivi from One Piece. She looked White in the anime she was in much darker pallor in the live-action. This change made sense. None of her character traits were based off of her whiteness and where she lived is a giant desert. And her name base is off of an Egyptian lady. Changing Snape from white to black and the new adaptation brings a lot of issues. It makes things that have happened to his character look a lot more racist. And him being called Half Blood Prince. And they hang them upside down from a tree. They just don't like him. This takes it from his characters interested in the dark arts and that's why people don't like him to making you think it's all about the racial bias. If the only teacher in the entire School that Harry Potter doesn't trust is the only black one. That causes issues. Bulma from Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Evolution. Bulma is known for her blue hair. Bulma and Dragon Ball Evolution does not act like Bulma too only has a a nod to her hair with the tiniest streak known to man. If you have no intention of having the character look or act like the character you are adapting. Fuck off and write your own story

7. If you have a fundamental disagreement with the main theme of the story. Write your own story. Lilo and Stitch is about family staying together rewriting the ending so they stay apart is a fundamental insult to the original story. If you want the story to go that way write your own story. if you think no one will see your story because it doesn't have the IP on it take some writing class come back when you're better at your craft.

8. If you only like the Aesthetics of the world and you're just going to ignore the original story. Go away. There is no reason for you to be doing a live action just do a fanfiction stay out of our way. There is nothing wrong with fanfiction it is just something that should not be on the big screen

9. The character should sound correctly. Looking at you Mario. Where are the example I have is not about a live action but the point still stands. The 3D Super Mario movie made fun of Mario's original voice for the first five minutes and gave him the most generic voice in the entire movie. When the live action Mario movie from way back then has a more correct voice acting you've got a problem. There's two things we know about him that he's Italian and he's a plumber from Brooklyn. He either has to sound Italian or that he's from Brooklyn.

NO FUCKING WAY THIS IS THE STORYLINE FOR SEK LES MIS

I haven’t seen all of it, but I’m not entirely sure she becomes a princess so to speak - wouldn’t surprise me if she did tho considering Studio SEKs other endeavours involved tigers shooting lasers out of their eyes and jungle animals turning into tanks.

What I will tell you though, is that Episode 25 features the only adaptation that includes Post-Seine. Yeah that’s right, Valjean jumps into the Seine and saves Javert’s life.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think there’s any other television or film adaptation that does anything like this? I know Javert contemplates suicide in Shoujo Cosette and ultimately chooses not to, but I can’t think of any other version where he actually does attempt suicide and is subsequently rescued by Valjean.

Therefore, I submit my thesis that the North Korean Studio SEK’s Les Miserables is the definitive Valvert Girlie Club adaptation of Les Mis 🙏😇 anyways PLEASE talk more to me about crazy animated adaptations of Les Mis including this one because I LOVE going on and on about it
