Stereotyping.
Okay time for a rant in regards to kelly Osbournes comments on the view. First of all I think the whole thing is bullshit. Why is everyone blowing this out of proportion and taking it out of context. I can admit it was ill thought out but it was not meant in the way it sounded. Nowadays people take offense to many things that aren't meant as they sound. Yes, she stereotyped Latinos as a whole but can you look me in the face and tell me you haven't done it to another race? I realize that yes two wrongs don't make a right but I'm am simply stating facts. just because these people (and yes I said people because despite what many people think celebrities are people too just like us and they may not always be as articulate as they should) don't think things through before they speak does NOT mean we should scrutinize them. I am Latino and I did not take offense to what she said because I know for a fact not all Latinos clean toilets but it is a gross stereotype and I've learned to live with it because we all stereotype each other based on ethnicity. I too have been guilty in the past for stereotyping but just because it was televised on national TV it wasn't as bad? Bullshit I'm sick and tired of people alienating others for stereotypical phrases they use themselves. Fuck double standards. All of these stereotypes are learned so before you attacking someone for stereotyping. Take a second to think. "Hey maybe I've said something like this about another race that didn't come out quite right?" Okay. Rant over.
