Saw a Marvin Redpost book in a little free library today with my girlfriend and she noticed the bit where it referenced another book in the series (the one pictured, Marvin Redpost: Is He a Girl?) which unlocked the memory of that book, where IIRC, there's some rumor that only girls can lick their elbows and then Marvin licks his and questions if that means he's a girl.
But it also reminded me that there were a surprising amount of middle grade books that dealt with similar gender bending scenarios, like Todd Strasser's "Help! I'm Trapped In..." series which has some basic ones like in his male teacher's body or his dog's body or the President's body, but also the two I pictured where the main kid becomes his sister and a supermodel respectively.
As a book reviewer, I think this is an interesting concept to explore in a video but I don't think that I'm the right person to make such a video, given I think that a queer/trans perspective would be the lens to make it an interesting video, a lens I don't have. But if there are any trans/queer content creators who talk about books who want to use this idea, have at it!
