baby pat for @bexxbeauty!! i love little patton so much, i really hope you like it!
Do you know how absolutely adorable you all are????? 😊
Oh little Patton knows this too well and uses it against any caretaker, it’s nearly impossible for any caretaker to say n to him.
Lil Logan always gets blushy and shy when someone says he’s cute and tends to hid his hands in his face.
Most the time little Virgil isn’t too sure and ask if you’re joking, if you confirm it’s not a joke he gets blushy too.
Dee when he’s little or big will think you’re messing with him and get really upset or angry if big (unless it’s his personal caretaker or boyfriend) then he gets all tsundere
Roman has extremely low self esteem in both headspaces. As a big he’d just make some I know comment, but spend all night debating if the person was just lying / teasing him or being truthful. While lil Roo will get all happy and bright smiles and just suddenly start crying and need to be comfort. But, unable to explain he’s upset because he doesn’t know if you’re lying because he’s too little (unless it’s Dee he never feel like Dee is lying to him big or little)
So basically Patton knows he’s cute, Logan doesn’t know his cuteness but accepts it when someone says he is, and Virgil are unsure of his cuteness and needs it to be confirmed.
While Deceit and Roman both believe they aren’t cute. Deceit thinks people are just messing with him and gets angry/upset, while Roo hides his insecurity as a big acts cocky until he’s alone to over think it, while little him is more open about his feelings
Headcanons for a sides role swap were they switch what they were made for
An au world in which locking Roman up resulted in their traits being swapped around
Logan felt something he never did before after being the one encouraging Roman’s lock up. Guilt. That sent him into a spiral of learning about emotions and understanding how actions resulted in different emotions. Logan become obsessed with feelings and understand them. Partly out of guilt for what locking up Roman had done to Patton.
The new Feelings / Heart Side
Curious little thing
Likes feeling extreme things (even bad things)
Gets in dangerous situations just to feel the trill of fear
Mixture of Toddler and Adult. He’s a big boy!
If he’s out of little space he feels numb and claims to have a headache (resulting in him being snappy)
Littlespace age range 2-5 (leans towards the 5 side)
Causes Thomas to have mood swings (oops)
Still has his power to read minds if he’s touching them. But, uses it to read thoughts to study how they are feeling. A sad person is crying, touch hand to read the thoughts that are making them sad.
Patton ended up becoming Anxiety unable to cope with the guilt of what they had done to Roman. He was so afraid they had ruined Thomas that he couldn’t cope. He slowly struggled with seeing anything but the bad things that could happen. He just wanted the remaining sides and Thomas to be safe. So he started worrying about every little thing that could hurt them. Babied by the others.
The new Anxiety Side
Sad Cinnamon Bun
Needs lots of hugs
Acts like a scared toddler more than an adult
Littlespace age range 2-3
Rarely out of little space, when Patton is big he’s a worry wart more than normal and depress.
Sweetest lil, but very needy, with lots of love to give
Loves helping caretakers, always afraid caretakers will get mad, has terrible social anxiety, very clingy.
Always has red rings around his eyes
Causes Thomas to worry and be nervous a lot
Uses his power to tell what other people feel by touching them. This tends to help calm him down when he’s scared someone hates him or is angry
Virgil realize he was the one who was going to have to step up and help get Thomas functioning (Since he had fallen into a depression) So he started acting like the missing Self esteem / Ego side. Encouraging them to do things, he helped Patton go from less of a worry scared to a caution protector.
The new Ego / Self Esteem Side
The leader, really stepped up to help everyone.
Great caretaker
Regresses when he just can’t handle it anymore. his age range is 3-5
Still has bad thoughts but has learned that he can’t let negative feelings hold him back.
Sometimes forgets to take care of himself
Hates Roman with a passion (He did so much work to help everyone and Roman keeps trying to ruin it!)
Uses his powers to tell what a person fears to help comfort them and overcome or protect them from their fears
Deceit on the other hand threw himself in learning anything he could. He and VIrgil actually put their differences aside for the best of Thomas. He took on the Logic side trait. With this he was able to reason Pattons fears down to something more reasonable as well as help Thomas listen to Virgil.
The new Logic side
The coleader never had a falling out with the other sides
Great caretaker like Virgil
Is able to reason Patton out of a panic attack.
Willingly regress alone, doesn’t have to. Just enjoys it, he regress back to 6 and has a stuffed dog named “Rowan” Totally not because it reminds him of his old best friend
The one who is the nicest to Roman tries to help Roman get adjusted.
Roman and Deceit’s relationship is like Virgil’s and Patton’s before everyone accepted Virgil. Roman is viewed as the bad guy by everyone, but Deceit who refers to him as his “fallen angel” (Like how Patton in canon calls Virgil his dark strange son)
It hurts Deceit when Roman calls him a liar
He uses his enhanced shapeshifting to make Patton laugh, Logan to study the animal or thing in a safer way, and to help Thomas to practice taking to strangers and such.
Poor little Roman broke in lock up. At first he had given up and let the demons and nightmares win each battle accepting the pain to feel something. But, then there was a sparkle of hope. (Unknown to him this was a result of Virgil and Deceit’s work) and he realize things could be different he could save himself. That’s how he became self preservation. When he broke free from his chains he came back as a proud Disney villain. Who wants revenge.
The new Self Preservation Side
Anger ball of fire
Classic Disney Villain
That voice in your head that says you suck and no one can love you
So much anger in such a small short boy
Wears a Queen like outfit because everyone knows queens are evil
Stuck at the age of 6, little age is very unstable though one second he’s acting like a 6 year old the next he’s a cranky 2 year old
His little age range is 1-6,
Spends most his time on par to a 6 year old or 1 year old.
Rips the heads off of stuffed animal, throws toys, breaks things in fits. Then gets really sad when he finds out one of his favorite toys are broken
Being locked up hasn’t had much affect on his powers besides giving him less control. His imagination abilities are slightly out of his control now so sometimes it comes to bite him in the butt.
Of course he’s using his powers to make him seem like a cooler villain (appearing in green smoke and so on) Also makes things that he claims will help Thomas be better.
Despite coming off as evil and pointing out Thomas’ many flaws. He does want the best for Thomas and just wants to make him into a better person. It wasn’t his fault that he got locked up. It was other people. He doesn’t want Thomas to ever change for another person again.
Hates it when Thomas is trying to think of others, because being selfish is better
Will go gentle on Deceit because he can’t hurt Dee even if they all hurt him
Other Stuff to Mention
For the first 2 years during Roman’s lock up everything was chaotic and Thomas suffered terrible depression. His grades didn’t get better when Roman was locked up but rather worse. He also lost all his friends
Then there was a spark of hope and he started on working on himself, as well as going to therapy.
Virgil and Deceit are very close, acting as the leaders of the group. They are also the two main caretakers.
Roman hates the other sides with a burning passion and even has a distaste for Thomas. But, he despise other humans from the bottom of his heart
One day when Thomas moved out of his parents his new therapist suggested he made a video diary and thats when the sides start appearing to him
Roman will have a habit of telling Thomas how he’s a terrible person but if he listened to him Roman could make it all better.
However the other sides are always able to get Thomas to feel good about himself
This will be called Out of the Toy Box and I love this way more than I thought I would
prompt- Roman is having trouble staying big. And everyone else is little and they're supposed to be taking a break today but Roman refuses to do so because he has so much work to do until he drops hard and fast and can't control things like his bladder/bowels or his emotions
It’s very rare for it to happen, but sometimes Patton will regress. According to him it’s nice not to be the adult all the time. Deceit was caring for the others. Roman on the other hand didn’t like regressing on purpose it was weird and wrong. The others could because it wasn’t like they couldn’t help it. They were just pretending. Roman had no control over it. If he on purpose regressed he had no clue how long he’d be stuck that way. Everyone else was taking a break today. Even Thomas was with friends (acting more childish than normal) Roman claimed to have too much work to do. This was technically true, the work of a creative prince was never truly done. But, in reality most of it was just to hide away from the others.
Everything was going great the ideas were pouring out like water though a faucet. Until it all just stop. It was a little frustrating. But, it was fine. He’d just reread what he came up with. Garbage idea after garbage idea. These weren’t good enough. He could do better. Throwing the balled up paper onto the floor he worked on better ideas forcing them out.
The pile of paper grew on his floor as his frustration did as well. He was starting to struggle to see tears kept trying to come out. It was stupid, he felt stupid, and useless. He tried pushing though his hands started to act stupid too. His handwriting got messier and messier. He couldn’t even read it soon. Letting out a annoyed muffled scream though his sleeves he ripped page after page of unused paper from his notebook. Of course he’d just magic his notebook back when he felt better. This was his job! It should come naturally to him just like it came naturally for Patton to be all feely and Logan being smart!
Soon he was unable to force the tears back he started to sob his sleeve in his mouth. Pat of him wanted his Dee. But Dee was busy with the others and he wasn’t little! He wasn’t! He was’t! His hands were being clumsy and stupid now and not listening to him. At first he didn’t even notice it before it was too late that he had wet himself. That was his breaking point letting out a loud sob. Deceit came running in with Patton and Virgil in his arms (the only time Virgil was ever good for DaDee was if Patton needed a break) Right away he helped get Roman changed in some Lil Roo friendly clothes.
Roman wasn’t much in a playful mood just wanting to mope and cuddle was enough. He had tried so hard to stay big and he couldn’t even do that right….

Roman did truly feel bad for leaving Virgil alone with the two toddlers. Really, he did. But Roman had a sneaking suspicion that Logan and Patton’s current state was due to magic somehow leaking from his room. It was the only thing that could explain it. Roman smiled to himself as he looked through the bookshelf in his room, knowing Logan would be proud of his deductive reasoning. While Roman, admittedly, wasn’t as much of an avid reader, did have a small collection of books. Most of which were fairytales, but there were also a couple spellbooks in the mix. In fact, the latter is what he was searching for. There had to be some sort of spell to reverse this. While yes, Logan and Patton were adorable, Roman didn’t want to know what would happen to Thomas when two major parts of his personality turned into children.
A Tiny Problem, Part One
Heyo! So a little while ago, I posted about possibly writing a fic for the tiny!sides au. So without further ado, here it is! (Also if you wanna be added to the tag list, let me know!)

Personally, Virgil blamed Roman for this mess. He was always experimenting with magic, and that was the only explanation for their current situation. What, might you ask, had happened? Well, it all started earlier that morning.
—————————————————————————————————-
Virgil had been lying on his bed with his headphones on, listening to My Chemical Romance, when a small face popped up and scared the living crap out of him.
“Hewo Virgil!” the small child cried. What on earth was a child doing in the mindscape? That’s when Virgil noticed that the child was wearing a pair of glasses, a blue polo shirt, a gray cardigan over his shoulders, and khaki pants.
“Patton?” Virgil asked incredulously.
“Dat’s my name!” he said, giggling.
“Why are you a toddler?” Virgil asked. Patton shrugged.
“I dunno. Let’s go playy!” he replied, tugging Virgil’s arm.
“Maybe in a minute Pat. We need to go find the others and figure out what to do,” Virgil said, sitting up. Just then, Roman burst in, carrying a child wearing glasses, a black polo shirt, blue tie, and jeans.
“Not Logan too,” Virgil groaned, flopping back onto his bed.
“Virgil, the worst thing has- wait, what do you mean, too?!” Roman cried out. Then his eyes landed upon Patton, who was standing beside Virgil’s bed.
“Oh for the love of Disney,” Roman sighed. Logan started to squirm in Roman’s arms.
“Ro, put me down!” Logan cried, wiggling around and pounding his tiny fists on Roman’s chest.
“Okay, okay! I’ll put you down now,” Roman conceded, and gently placed Logan down on the ground. Logan skittered away, and adjusted his tie.
“Logaan!” Patton cried out, and ran forward to give Logan a hug.
“No! NO hugs!” Logan cried out, trying to run away, but it was too late. Patton wrapped his arms around Logan, and Logan let out a high-pitched shriek. Virgil clambered off his bed and rushed towards them, trying to pry Patton away from Logan.
“C’mon Pat, let go of Logan, I’ll play with you if you let go of him,” Virgil negotiated, his usual deep voice cooing slightly. Roman felt his heart melt at the adorable scene.
“Play?” Patton asked, loosening his grip on Logan. Logan squirmed away and ran to Roman, hiding behind him.
“Yes Patton, let’s go play,” Virgil sighed. Patton giggled.
“Yaay! Tag, you’re it!” Patton exclaimed, tapping Virgil on the shoulder and running out of his room, giggling the whole time. Virgil groaned.
“Ugh, Patton’s making me exercise. Welp, better go after him before the little tyke gets himself into trouble,” Virgil said, leaving his room as well.
—————————————————————————————————-
It turned out Patton was very good at tag. Virgil was currently roaming the halls of the mindscape, looking for Patton. He had taken to hiding from Virgil, making their previous game of tag more of a game of hide and seek. Virgil tried to suppress the overwhelming sense of anxiety that was starting to build up at the fact that he still hadn’t found Patton yet. How long had it been? A few minutes? An hour? Virgil wasn’t sure anymore. His searching became more frantic, and he could feel the edge of a panic attack coming on.
“Keep it together Virgil, it’s just the mindscape. Patton has to be around here somewhere,” he muttered to himself.
“Why are you talking to yourself?” a voice piped up behind him. Virgil whirled around to see a tiny Logan peering up at him curiously. Virgil placed a hand on his chest, over his now rapidly beating heart.
“Geez Logan, give a guy some warning next time, okay? And what did you do to Roman?” Virgil asked.
“He told me to stay put, and that he had to go take care of something. But that was boring, so I decided to find you instead,” Logan replied. Virgil made a mental note to yell at Roman for leaving Logan alone later.
“C’mon Logan, help me find Patton,” Virgil said, reaching out a hand towards Logan. Logan glanced at the outstretched hand, then back at Virgil.
“Why?” he asked.
“Because it’s not good for Patton to be all alone,” Virgil replied.
“Why?” he questioned again.
“Because if adult Patton doesn’t make good decisions, then I’m terrified of what trouble toddler Patton could get into,” Virgil said, irritation creeping into his voice.
“Okay,” Logan said with a shrug, taking Virgil’s hand. Virgil let out a sigh of relief, until he heard a loud thump coming from the kitchen, and the sound of crying following soon after. Virgil cursed under his breath, then scooped Logan up into his arms, who protested greatly at this action. Virgil ignored this and ran into the kitchen. He was greeted by the sight of Patton sprawled out on the floor, cradling his left arm and sobbing. Virgil set Logan down on the ground, and knelt beside Patton.
“Hey Pat, it’s okay, it’s okay, can I see your arm?” Virgil asked gently. Patton hesitated, his tears subsiding slightly. Then, after a second or two, he stretched out his arm towards Virgil. Virgil gently took him by the wrist, and started to gently press down on Patton’s arm.
“Does it hurt when I touch it?” he asked. Patton shook his head. Virgil let go of his arm.
“Can you try bending it for me? Or moving it around a bit?” Virgil asked. Patton did as he was told, and Virgil was relieved when he saw that Patton could move it without difficulty.
“Alright Pat, it doesn’t look like it’s broken, but we should probably ice it just to be safe. And let’s do something a little less… active. How about we watch some cartoons?” Virgil asked. Patton visibly perked up at that idea.
“Can we watch Winnie the Pooh?” Patton asked. Virgil smiled and ruffled Patton’s hair.
“Of course,” Virgil said, standing up. Patton stood up as well, and reached his arms out towards Virgil.
“Up!” he cried out. Virgil sighed, bent down, and picked Patton up. Patton wrapped his arms around Virgil’s neck and cuddled closer to him, sighing contentedly. A small smile crept up Virgil’s face, and he walked towards the freezer to grab an ice pack. (When Patton was an adult, he always made sure to keep a couple on hand, since Roman tended to get a little banged up on his adventures) After awkwardly rifling through the freezer with one hand, while trying to keep a firm grip on Patton, he finally managed to get an ice pack. He then walked into the living room, with Logan trailing behind him, and set Patton down on the couch.
“Don’t worry, I’ll cuddle you again in a minute. I just need to get some things for watching Winnie the Pooh. Now stay put, and put the ice pack where it hurts on your arm,” Virgil explained when Patton pouted slightly. Virgil started to walk out of the living room again, but noticed that Logan had started to follow him.
“You stay here too, Logan,” Virgil said, crouching down to look Logan in the eye.
“But I don’t wannaa,” Logan whined.
“Just bear with me, okay Logan? After we watch Winnie the Pooh, you can pick what we watch next, okay?” Virgil compromised. Logan considered it for a moment, then nodded. Virgil breathed out a sigh of relief, and watched Logan toddle back towards Patton on the couch. Virgil then proceeded to grab blankets, stuffed animals, snacks, and of course, the Winnie the Pooh DVD. He walked back into the living room, arms full, to see Logan and Patton having a very serious discussion about puppies. Virgil smiled in spite of himself. Their chatting stopped when they saw Virgil with his arms full of goodies.
“Puppy!” Patton squealed, reaching for a dog plushie that balanced precariously in Virgil’s arms. Virgil carefully but quickly gave Patton the plush dog and a blanket. He then gave Logan a dinosaur plushie and a blanket. He set the snacks down on the coffee table, and put the disc into the player. He then sat down in between Logan and Patton, and was pleasantly surprised when both of them cuddled up to him. The movie started, and Virgil could slowly feel himself drifting off to sleep. Who knew a little less than an hour with two toddlers could be so exhausting?
