Play Activities For Toddler | Toddler Play Area
Chalk Obstacle :
It's all chalk and some vision that you need. Write out an array of gross motor movements in a series for literate children, much as you would hopscotch. For example: jump like a bunny x 3, hold the position of a tree on one side, walk on your feet and hands, jump on one foot, hold the pose of a tree but at the other side, jump on the standing leg, twirl x 2, jump up and try to touch the sky x 4.
2. Wet Sponge Design :
Gather lots of sponges on a sunny, summer day, have a pool of water for endless resoaking, and have your children throw their sponges to make patterns on a wall or on a cement surface. You may also use sponges to "paint" the walls. Most of the toddler play area has this game.
3. Coin Pattern :
Collect a mixture of coins-pennies, nickels, quarters and dimes. Show a mix of four coins in a series to your toddler, such as two pennies and two dimes. Let the coins look at your toddler. Cover the coins and ask your toddler to use the other coins from your set to create the same combination from memory. When he gets the combination right, give your toddler a happy answer, and gently correct him when he doesn't get it right before he masters his concentration skills which is popular in the toddler play area.
