Being back here, in her home, being near him was enough to make her shatter. To rebuild the walls that had tumbled down when she met her team. The remembrance of how she was raised, how she used to be made her question everything. The verbal assault, the snide comments about her friends, especially Blake; the allowance of a faunus in their home? Especially uninvited. It was enough to make anyone crack.
The anxiety she felt since Argus of returning home was amped to the max. The fear that everything was about to go wrong. However, Blakes words cut through her like a knife.
They were in her room, Weiss sitting on the edge of her bed, fingers toying with the fabric on her dress. It's been a long day and Weiss needed to be alone, but Blake came knocking on her door, making sure she was okay. A gesture the once heiress will appreciate later when she's not wallowing in her thoughts.
