Surprise.
"It was a big night for her family. She joined in with the festivities at the restaurant and shared lots of laughs with her relatives. But she looked up and saw a familiar face, that of one of the bus boys that had been one of her acquaintances. She kept alert as she dined, but halfway through dinner, she decided to get up and walk around. As she was about to turn around, he finally caught her eye and they shared a few quick smiles, laughs, and some "fancy seeing you here." Seeing him reminded her about her final months in high school, how he seemed to be an interesting fellow that never let a moment pass by idly. She never knew he'd be there, but being able to interact with him made that night just a pinch sweeter. He wanted to approach her, even give her a little surprise, but he knew not that she was with a large party, despite being separated from the group, having to sit alone with her sibling. She didn't know until after dinner. She wanted to give him a hug, but she could not find him as her party headed for the exit. Somehow, she felt a bit warmer amidst the frosty night air."
