“We’ve been dating for 2 years now and tomorrow is our anniversary, I hope Doffy remembers it. He's been quite cold to me lately, especially after he got the mera-mera no mi.” Y/N tells Baby 5 while shopping for an anniversary. “Don’t worry too much about it Y/N, he is just busy lately.” Baby 5 reassured. “Well yeah I guess so, since he’s planning something big..” Well yeah Doffy really cares about me, if I’m upset he knows the right words to make me happy. His words are so sweet it rids me of worries and sadness. And he does not make me angry, even if he did, I’m unable to get mad at him.
Both you and Baby 5 continued shopping. After getting a perfect gift it was already dusk, you went to the counter and paid for your item. “Baby 5 since it's late now, shall we have dinner before we go?” “I’m in debt lately tho.” “It’s fine I’ll pay”
In Doffy’s study.
“Doffy, are you planning on marrying Y/N?” Trebol asks while disregarding Doffy’s personal space.”Too close” “She’s loyal but she’s not suitable.” “It only took me 2 weeks to make her head over heels for me, what if another guy seduces her? She’s too easy and I don't like that. Besides, she's too clingy. All it takes is a few sweet words and she’ll do anything I want her to do.” Doffy scoffs, as all the displeasure he hid in front of Y/N gushes out.
Y/N came back and rushed to Doffy’s study to greet him, and heard his conversation with Trebol through the cracks of the door. When Y/N was about to leave with tears forming in her eyes she heard Trebol insulting her, she thought, she hopes, she wants, Doffy to at least defend her but only for her to hear Doffy agreeing to Trebol. Her heart shattered tears gushed out like a broken dam. She ran to her shared room and wailed, unable to control her emotions.
She loved him, even before Doffy courts her she had already loved him. He managed to save her when she was young. Before she could thank him, Doffy had already left with his crew. She promised to find him to thank him, she thought that this is the man who saved her life so we did not mind giving him her life and be with him. No matter what he wants her to do she will perform it perfectly because she kept reminding herself, without Doffy I wouldn’t have lived till today, this is how I can repay him.
Y/N packed her stuff to leave, but she couldn’t just abandon him. She still loved him. She kept finding reasons for Doffy’s words. “Maybe, maybe if I’m less clingy Doffy will start to love me…” “But for 2 years he did not even like me.. Will he really love me if I stay longer?” She kept thinking. Not noticing Doffy entering the room. “Y/N? Y/N? Y/N!” She jolted “D-Doffy?” her voice cracked, as she replied to him while frantically wiping off her tears.
Upon seeing Y/N tears, Doffy’s mood turned sour but still consoled her with the sweetest words. He saw the luggage Y/N was trying to hide. He became furious, “Y/N are you leaving?” “N-no!” She panicked. She never lied to him before and she knows truly well Doffy can easily see through her lies. “I’m giving you another chance, are you betraying me?” She cried, “No I won’t I promise, please believe me, I love you Doffy I will never.” Doffy scoffs at Y/N. “Even if you manage to run I’ll still find you, you know too much. Only death can set you free.”
Earlier before Doffy went to Y/N.
Doffy noticed a shadow from below his study, if it was anyone they should’ve knocked and come in. But the shadow disappeared instead, he left the study and went towards their shared room. Upon noticing Y/N in the room his suspicions were confirmed. “Y/N, Y/N, Y/N how easy it is to get you.” He laughed coldly to himself. After leaving the room he called Sugar. He did not want any chances of his information to be leaked.
The next time Y/N saw him was in their room where she was tied up by Doffy’s strings and unable to move, only to scream and plead Doffy but he did not even try to listen to her, all he felt was annoyance. The next time Y/N woke up was in an underground area working with the rest of the toys.
