TEAM MARGOT STEM CELL AND BONE MARROW AWARENESS DAY - 7TH OCTOBER Blood Cancer is in the top 10 most common causes of cancer death in the UK and the rest of the world. The chances of patient survival are greatly increased if a matching stem cell or bone marrow donor is found. Right now, there are over 37,000 people worldwide in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant (including 2,000 in the UK). Every year there is a growing need for donors that will provide stem cells and bone marrow to those fighting diseases that these resources can be used to defeat. From infants to the elderly, there are thousands who are suffering, and there isn’t enough of these resources available to help them. Team Margot Steam Cell And Bone Marrow Awareness Day reminds us that there is more that we can donate than blood, and there are lives that can be saved. Remembering Margot Martini. A year after 14 months old Margot was diagnosed with Leukaemia and just a few weeks before she died, 7 October was announced as an annual awareness day for more people to join the worldwide bone marrow / stem cell donor registration. #TeamMargot #TogetherSavingLives #StemCells #BoneMarrow #BloodCancer #Leukaemia #MargotMartini . . #SickleCellDiseaseAwarenessGhana is a nonprofit project which educates on #SickleCellDisease (#SCD) and focuses on the need for support for treatment in #Ghana. #SickleCell is an inherited condition that currently affects many lives worldwide. #SCDAwarenessGhana because it matters❗ _____________________________________________ A #CharisJadlen #SocialImpact Project (#SIProject), a #ThinkMahoganyCSR . #SickleCellAnemia #ILoveSomeoneWithSCD #SDG2 #HealthAndWellbeing #BecauseItMatters https://www.instagram.com/p/CGDyaj8Drxa/?igshid=1x6q537a6adf2
