Going into labor with Toji by your side 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍
You had barely slept all night. Megumi had been kicking all night. It felt like he was trying to punch his way right out of your belly.
You had been squirming all night. Toji finally woke up.
"What's wrong, doll." Toji asks, sitting up in the bed.
"I don't know." You turn to face him. "He's just been kicking all night. And it hurts more than usual."
"Do you think he could be coming?" Toji asks, nervousness creeping into his voice.
"I don't think so. I mean, I hope not. I'm not ready for that yet. The doctor said that he would come next week." Toji pulled you into his chest and stoked you hair.
"I know, sweetie, but it's getting pretty close. It's possible he can come a few days early." Toji said, resting a hand on your bump.
"You know what? Maybe I just have to piss and everything will be okay." You say, throwing the blankets to the side and walking to the bathroom. You flush the toilet and as you are washing your hands, water rushes down your pants. Just as that happens, the baby kicks you right in your ribs. You let out a whimper of pain.
It was loud enough that Toji heard you. He sat up in the bed trying to figure out if he was just hearing things until you called for him.
"Toji!"
"I'm coming, doll." He ran out of the bed and opened the bathroom door to find you leaning on the counter and holding your lower belly.
"Oh my god." Toji's eyes widened at the sight. Your pants were all wet. The baby was coming.
Toji walked over to you and you used his arms as support. He walked you over to the bed.
"Here, take your pants and underwear off. I'll get you some fresh ones, okay?" You nod your head and take them off.
You were terrified. Of course you knew the baby was coming soon. But you were not prepared to have him tonight.
Toji walked back into the room helping you up. You rest your hands on his shoulders as he bends down to help you put the pants on. He stand up straight only to see your scared face again.
"I'm scared, Toji." You say, tearing up.
"I know, baby.'' He says pulling you into his chest.
"We should go to the hospital now, Ji." Toji agrees and grabs the bags you insisted on packing only a few weeks into your pregnancy.
You guys are almost to the hospital when the pain really kicks in. You hold Toji's hand even tighter and let out a moan into his shoulder.
"I know, baby. We're almost there." You finally reach the hospital after what felt like a week.
You finish getting settled in your room.
Next thing you know, you've been in there for hours. The thing after that was a sharp pain that vibrated through your body. You let out a loud moan that startles Toji.
"Baby," He says, standing up from his chair and grabbing your hand.
"Mmm! Toji!" You yell, struggling to form words.
"Talk to me, Baby. Is he coming?" Toji asks, trying to calm you down.
"Ah-I t-think so."
Toji went on to call a nurse into the room. The baby was coming.
After pushing for what felt like forever and feeling yourself tear because of his giant head and shoulders, your beautiful Megumi Fushiguro was born.
New tears started streaming down your face. When they put Megumi in your arms and Toji got to see him, you swear you saw him cry.
"Aw, Toji, look at him." You look over at Toji who totally doesn't have tears forming in his eyes. "Oh, Toji. I think this is the first time I've ever seen you cry." A smile spread across your face.
Suddenly the whole world could fit in your arms.
