Just finished up a new Toga design for Haru. This time, instead of using a duplicated mesh, i used a new plane made from scratch, that i properly measured to Haru's specifications, and extruded that around his body in the same way one would don a Toga, while keeping that measurement consistent. I then subdivided the cloth horizontally, and rotated the mesh along the verts to make realistic folds, and the mesh naturally conform to the body. This particular Toga variation is technically not actually a Toga, but a Martial Laena, or Laena Togula. In other words, a Togula inspired by the Laena design. It's a duplex style "small toga" pattern, secured by a brooch, and worn over a tunic. In roman culture, Togula were commonly used by either less wealthy folk, or for when a full sized toga was not needed for social and civic duties, such as typical leisure, or physical activities; namely such things that more wealthy and powerful people tended not to do.
